Ratings and Reviews
Okay start, not there yet
If you just need to work wtih plain text this is pretty good. For me I like to paste in screenshots of what I'm working on or looking at on my screen, and then write about that. There's no way to do that wtih Reflection. Instead you have to save the screenshot as a file to your disk, and then insert the reference to that file. This is too inconvenient for my workflow.
I also wish there was a calendar view of journal entries, rather than the simple timeline list.
Simple interface without distractions
Using version 1.5.3. Been through several journals, but was never satisfied until I found Reflection. Its simple interface and ease of use are perfect. Can edit, add pics and I learned a tiny bit of Markdown for bold, italic and lists. Not interested in exporting, sharing or day by day entry list. The labels keep posts sorted between personal, business or whatever topic you choose. Using them is all the sorting I need. You can rename them plus there's four more empty ones you can create. You can create multiple journals if you want, each focused on whatever is important to you.
It greatly reduces my inner OCD, lol! When I had "bells and whistles" I felt I had to use them. I'm now more focused ... it's "go with the flow, gently down the stream."
Martynas, thank you very much for this fabuloso "less is more" app!
A great journal app
I have been using this app for about a week now. I really like it. It has an intuitive interface and is quite simple to learn and use. I just write away with no distractions. I have not played with the “markdown” to change formatting. No need to do so. I just wanted to write my journal entries, keep them organized, and easily review them at a later time.
At first I thought a word counter would be nice… But in truth I really do not the distraction. However, it might be nice to have an option to “export” some of my entries to html or pdf. However, really not that big of a deal.
A great simple application! Lets me stay focused on writing. Thank You!!!
