Relay On Demand 4+

I’ve been a driver for almost 30 years now I’ve seen this industry go through a lot of changes not very many of them have been good but this app without a doubt is the best thing to happen to trucking that I can remember. For the first time in I don’t know how long, as a driver I actually get to choose what I want to do. No more being forced or bullied by dispatch, no more BS sob stories from owners, it’s legitimately, work when you want to work and make good money doing it. Just last week I worked four days only One of them was a full day and I made a grand I can’t remember when I was able to do that. Relay has stumbled onto something that is going to revolutionize trucking and I’m glad to be a part of it at the beginning.

I believe this app was primarily built for carriers, prioritizing their needs and operations, rather than focusing on drivers. The heavy regulations and limitations on drivers raise concerns about the app's driver-friendly nature. It appears that the platform restricts drivers from expressing their concerns and communicating with colleagues, potentially suppressing meaningful discussions. Additionally, the owner's behavior of deleting comments they disagree with can further hinder open dialogue.

While the app may enable drivers to perform tasks, it seems to lack a platform for them to bring about change or advocate for their best interests. Drivers only ask for fairness, honesty, and the opportunity to voice their needs, which should not be dismissed or ignored.

Ultimately, it is crucial to address these issues and create an inclusive platform that values and supports both carriers and drivers equally. Ensuring drivers are valued stakeholders in the process.

With my career winding down it’s nice to have the flexibility to work when I want to work. No more forced dispatch. I’ve been driving for the same customer for a few months now and they ask me where I want to go, how long do I want to stay out, and if the pay works for me. Good luck trying that with another carrier. I’m surprised this hasn’t caught on as well in other states because Relay is a really good idea long overdue.
