Remaxi: Unblur & Repair Photo 17+

I needed to improve the quality of some pictures and it did that. It’s not a miracle worker but it definitely improved them.

The hope was to unblur some older photos and even a couple of very recent ones that had some fuzziness. At first glance, it works well, but if you zoom in at all, you’ll see the app isn’t actually adding more pixels to your photo. It’s using an AI scan to approximate what the subject looks like and then replacing or overlaying the AI image with the original. It has a particularly hard time with glasses, eyes, the mouth, and teeth. In some cases, the image that results is noticeably NOT the person in the photo. The AI will literally change prominent features producing a different person. If you zoom in at all, it shatters the illusion that the image was actually repixelated and unblurred. I would recommend saving your money and not purchasing the app.

We completely understand your desire to have all of Photoshop's functions in our app. We've put in maximum effort to incorporate as many features as possible. However, unfortunately, some functions simply can't be realized with just a few buttons. Nevertheless, we'll keep working on improvements for your convenience. Thank you for your understanding.

It’s ok, it gets the job done. UNTIL you look at the finer details. For example when sharpening the image, it does sharpen it but it adds a bursts filter, a strong one. But also the ai in this starts changing things. I had a portrait where the subjects mouth was closed but the ai opened the mouth and added jacked up teeth. And another one where I had hands and I wanted to sharpen the image the ai literally added weird fingernails. So it’s ok, but the finer details are hideous. Again I’m only sharpening so why it’s doing all this other stuff I don’t know.
