I've used/ tested out all of the “name remembering”apps on iOS, and this one not only works the best, it's very fairly priced, and the developer, Marc, is super nice and responsive. It works great, and I can even add or search for names on my Apple Watch. As soon as I meet somebody new, I plug their name into the app and usually add some kind of note - something to remember them by/characteristic. Then, the next time I'm around them, I can quickly search for any one of those things/notes/characteristics that I can remember, making it really easy to find their name.
This app is exactly what I've been looking for. It's so much more organized and user-friendly than my phone's built-in contacts app. I can group people, add detailed notes, and even see who I've met near my current location. Brilliant!

Remember Names isn't meant to replace the built in contacts app, but act as a supplement for contacts/people you don't have any actual contact information for or if you want to use the "name reminder by location" feature - but of course you can use it however it suits you best. My memory aid on my wrist! I love having the names easily accessible on my watch. Hooru makes it super easy to find the name I need, especially when I bump into someone unexpectedly. The location feature is a lifesaver! No more struggling to remember names or details.
I downloaded the app last night. Today I started to try it out. At some point you can’t use it and was given 3 options all of which included a 7-day free trial. I chose the 7-day trial with the one-time lifetime use fee and I was immediately charged. Apple says they only handle billing and claimed that the app developer stated this was an in-app purchase and did not include a trial period which is the exact opposite of what the app said.

You can then try all the features for free and only pay when you are ready.
Hooru has taken away the stress of remembering names. I used to freeze up when trying to remember certain people, but now I can quickly glance at the app and remind myself of the name. Love it!
Hooru is incredibly easy to use, and the quiz feature is great fun! It’s helped me to remember names I thought impossible to recall ! Highly recommend!
