Renominator is a powerful yet easy-to-use file renaming app for Mac. Its options are all at your fingertips and you don't have to construct a large sequence of steps before seeing the result. Perform only one action or save several of your favourite actions as a profile for instant replay later. Renominator also uses conflict detection to prevent any files from being renamed if any action would create duplicate file names; to continue anyway, simply deselect the offending file(s) shown in red in the preview column.
Perform Search and Replace, Format Filenames (using simple formats including common audio file tags or regular expressions), Cut and Paste, Add Numbers, Change Case, Add the Date that each file was created, and even adjust existing numbers near/after an index to re-sequence existing files. All actions can be undone using standard menus and shortcut keys.
Browse your entire file system by clicking Open, and use the tree in the left column to drill down to the desired folder.
Added an extra option beside the Case combo box to treat file extensions separately
Fixed a bug which resulted in some file names ending with a dot unnecessarily (which prevented renaming)
