Awesome tools- Bigger Pockets’ choice

I have really enjoyed RentRedi so far, the platform has been great for sharing and saving documents with tenants and getting rent easily and automated with reminders. The REI hub has been a great add on to keep all my finance tracking in one place and even keep track of the pay down and depreciation amounts on my property. The Latchel add on needs some work, but has solid potential. They’ve made the customer service and maintainence work order submittal process easy, but overall project tracking management is faulty. The one ticket my tenant placed took several weeks, several mis-scheduled visits from contractors, and unclear communication on my end- still, I can tell they want to learn and improve, so I’m sticking with it for peace of mind during those 2am maintenance calls. Overall, I am excited to keep growing my portfolio and see how RentRedi develops to the gold standard for self-managing properties.

Unusable garbage.

Last month when I tried to pay rent for the first time using the app it kept crashing. Then I would put in my financial information and it wouldn’t let me pay. I tried several times and it would only let me pay if I set up automatic payments. So after I paid I turned off auto pay. Then when I log in this month it has that bank info on my account several times. But when I go to pay the app freezes for a minute or two and then gives me an error message saying I don’t have an internet connection. I do in fact have a really great connection. So I try the website. But the website keeps kicking me to the app and won’t let me just use the website. It’s broken unusable garbage. First time I tried to use the app to view my lease it crashes constantly and then when it actually worked the text on the lease was so small it was unreadable. Not only that I could only view the lease using the app and not the website. Every time I use it I’m impressed with just how poorly functioning this app is. And somehow it’s still not as bad as the main website.

Hi there! RentRedi only stores and shares the lease documents from the landlord. If the text is too small, try using your zoom in feature on your iPhone to increase the size of the image. If this doesn't work, please let us know at team@rentredi.com and we will add a feature request in for a zoom capability!

Serious Security Flaw – $3,200 Stolen from My Account

I’ve been using RentRedi for several years and have appreciated how easy it makes rent collection, tenant screening, and property management. The platform is user-friendly, and the interface is intuitive, which has helped streamline my responsibilities as a landlord.

However, I recently experienced a serious issue where $3,200 in rent payments was stolen after someone gained unauthorized access to my account and redirected the funds. While I understand that RentRedi uses Stripe as a third-party processor and there was no breach of either platform, the fact that this could happen without any alert other than an email that goes to spam or safeguard in place is extremely troubling.

I value the convenience that RentRedi offers, but security is non-negotiable when it comes to managing tenants’ payments and sensitive financial data. I urge RentRedi to implement stronger required not optional protections, like multi-factor authentication or real time phone alerts for changes to bank account information. Landlords and tenants deserve peace of mind when using this platform.
