Great game to play, needs tutorials.

This is a great game, I have been making sure to show everyone I can, the game and be able to try it out themselves. The hardest part of explaining the rules is trying to describe how battling foes and questing in dungeons work, along with how you utilize your advantages. I wish there was a tutorial part that lets you show an example on the app how these aspects work without having to start a full game. This is my only suggestion. I stress again I love this game and am trying to get as many people that I can to try it. Those aspects and the advantage system is the first I’ve seen so I’m not use to describing how they work. I would like a tutorial section that you could pick without having to connect to the tower so I can visually show how battles and dungeon diving works in game. This I feel would help bring in more players to the game. I love that the rest of the game is fairly straight forward. I start off my explanation by stating it’s a cooperative game and the three ways to lose. Then go over what you can do on your turn. Most people who at least play games in some form grasp these right away. Looking forward to covenant expansion.

One of the Best Coop Board Games

Return to Dark Tower is one of the best cooperative board games my husband and I have played. We have already played it 4 times with the base game and 3 times with the alliances expansion.

The way the foes and main goals mix to make a different experience and how the app changes based on your enemies and allies that are active is really cool. And the battling system is something new and gives you a lot of choices (vs a system where you just roll and see what happens).

Hope to see additional content out for it in the future as there is a lot you could mix in without bloating the game!

Needs some tension

I love the game and am happy to have backed it. That said, the game is too easy. It lacks any degree of tension or dread. You can generally ignore most foes throughout the game with little effect. The overwhelming numbers of advantages that can be gained renders even the adversary battle simple to win. The ability to retreat, then return with previously spent advantage intact, really destroys the dread that should be present when facing the adversary. It feels to me like the app needs more difficulty options and some rule adjustments. Another letdown is the end of game process - win or lose, the end of the game is fairly dull and unremarkable.

On the plus side, the app has been solid for me, with no crashing or troubles noted.
