SHARPER, TRUER PREVIEWS • The preset grid now renders at your screen's full resolution — thumbnails are noticeably sharper on Retina displays and finally look like the photo you get when you click them. • Film grain has been rebuilt from the ground up. The grain slider now has real range, film-style looks (Kodak Portra, Gritty Street, Silver Gelatin and friends) render cleaner and truer at every size, and their thumbnails match the final image. • Grid thumbnails no longer clip bright highlights, so high-key photos preview faithfully. SMOOTHER AND FASTER • Fixed: zooming into a photo could show a black or partially drawn frame. Zoom is now rock solid. • Zoom percentages now mean the real thing — 100% shows exactly one photo pixel per screen pixel. • Sliders respond more smoothly while you drag, and the preview keeps up instead of freezing mid-drag. • The preset grid opens without stutter — thumbnails render in the background and appear as they're ready. • Photos open snappier, and zooming right after opening is ready sooner. • Long editing sessions are much lighter on memory. FIXES • The autofocus-point marker now lands on the right spot on rotated and portrait-orientation shots. • Adjusting denoise no longer triggers unnecessary re-renders when the result wouldn't change. • More reliable file access during very long editing sessions.
