I bought this many years ago, maybe 9 or 10, and I still use it to this day. It helped me more than almost any other app, video, book, or real life lesson. It still helps me, even though I’ve advanced in my learning. It just helped me make so much sense of the steps and intervals in chords. It still took my slow brain a while to understand how chords are built and what to call them, but I honestly feel Reverse Chord Finder accelerated my learning ten fold. I’ve never even seen another app that does what Reverse Chord Finder does. The only thing that would make it better would be if it also did regular chord finder, just enter the name of a chord and it would show you the notes. But there are a ton of other apps that do that. Not a ton that do it in reverse, like Reverse Chord Finder. I want to sincerely thank the developers of this app. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

I believe this is the first time I've ever been drawn to write a second review, but I have to do it: I love this app like a new puppy, or an unexpected vacation, or a run on a sunny day. If you are an aspiring musician, how can you not have this app?This afternoon I'm tackling a tough piece of piano music, and I'm seeing its chord structure (in the left hand) easily and with clarity, thanks to this nifty little app. I used to have to leaf through a heavy book. But now I can learn much faster and with much less hassle.If I could save only two of my apps from a burning computer, this is one of the two I'd lasso and pull to safety. And no, I don't work for the company. I merely love the company's delightful product. It's making me stronger every time I learn from it.

November 14 update: the developer has kept his word and updated the app to address my gripe. Thanks! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍The older version was better. In the older version, when you pressed on the keys in keyboard piano, it would produce the note. When you press the second time it wouldn't as if to turn the note off. The new version makes it sound both times. This is very distracting. Hopefully the new developer will fix this. Otherwise, the app is perfect.

I downloaded this app specifically because there was a chord that I wanted to find and I figured an app would be a great way to do so. The problem is that I need the chord on the piano and you have to pay just to access the piano. Ever figure that maybe the person using the app doesn’t play guitar? How is it fair that you only give the guitar players free access? Ever think of giving the users 1 free CHOICE and then making the rest premium? Ridiculous. I’ve never left a bad review before so I feel bad for doing this but this definitely needs to be addressed because it is in no way fair to us piano players. This was the first app I looked to and I feel bad that I had to delete it and find another one but make it make sense please.

I switched from piano to fingerstyle guitar as my main instrument a few years ago. I could always figure out what chord I was playing on piano, but on guitar, often I have no clue what I am doing. Now I know how to notate some of the stranger chords! I especially like that you can do this with different tunings like Drop-D! Five stars all the way!!

This app is really great! Its detailed and will give you all the possible chord names for anything you play. Plus you can view the note names, fret numbers, or chord note intervals and switch between those options seamlessly for teaching yourself and expressing chords to others! I really like this app!! Works great on guitar or piano.

This app has been one of my most favorite and shared apps I’ve ever bought and that’s not hyperbole. I should’ve wrote a review much sooner but I’m going to write one now.I do so many weird cords and voicing this really helps me to quickly jot them down and put them in a pattern to make sure it’s something I want before recording.

This app is what I was looking for. The only thing I would like see is an option to see the guitar , piano and music notation of the chord on the same screen. If not then a toggle button so you don’t have to go into settings to change the display. Would be nice for an export into pdf also.

This is super easy to use with my ukulele. I really like that it offers three choices for names of chords. This is especially helpful when playing with other instrumentalists as uke chords are frequently incomplete.
