Description
The ReVert App is used to power and manage a series of smart, eco-friendly consumer electronics designed and manufactured by ReVert Technologies, Inc.
Currently, the App is used in conjunction with multi-outlet smart power extenders and single outlet smart plugs under the ReVert IoT family. For users who purchased the hardware, this App offers the following energy and carbon footprint analytics on all plugged-in devices:
- Energy usage: shows how much energy is used by appliances throughout the day or week, including times when the device is idle vs. active
- Utility grid tracking: Breaks down the percentage of wind, solar, hydro, gas, coal, and nuclear fuels used for each kilowatt of energy used by the user
- Carbon emissions tracking: Calculates and shows carbon footprint data from the use of electronics at home
- AI “eMission Control”: On a weekly basis, an AI generates recommendations for the user to minimize their carbon footprint and maximize energy savings.

Simple to setup and use
I was able to get the acorn up and running in a matter of minutes for my tv. It’s really nice to know how much of a carbon footprint it has and will want to use it with even more devices in the future, to both save money and prolong the life of my devices.
It would be really cool to see a grouping function, so I could turn on and off multiple things at once, or even potentially have the app recognize what outlets I use a lot at the same time and have it turn these things on and off according to my schedule.
What a game changer
We never take the time to think how much electricity items are using while turned off but plugged in. Revert has an easy to use device that tracks the use of electrify from the plugged in item. I barely use my PS5 and found out that having it plugged in collecting dust will cost me over $20 a year. Products like this are actually going to fix our over use of energy and I’m excited to contribute what little I can to help revert educate the masses!
Fantastic piece of equipment
With a new baby at home we wanted to understand how all of the baby gadgets consumed power and where we could find energy savings. The Acorn was super easy to set up and gave us a clear picture of the energy our appliances used. From the humidifier to our white noise machine - a must if you live in a noisy city - we were able to identify those that were sucking power and switch to more efficient, sustainable alternatives.
