Over the limit glitch *update
I like the concept and I love the service that the card provides but when I ran out of money I tried to re-charge the card and it keeps giving me over the limit notice. Also that is the card is declined, after putting in endless hours and putting different cards so I could re-charge my revolt credit card, I have failed to get the card working again.I have tried to contact customer service and it seems that they’re nowhere to be found… I love the concept but again I tell you they have a lot to work on to get this right. I also try to pay with Apple Pay which there’s money in there and again I get a decline notice… I’m very disappointed because I had high hopes for this credit card, I will be searching for some other services...
*update It seems to me that they have updated their software and once you update for the people that are having problems I think that is resolved so I’m happy to say that my card went through and it seems like they got in their act together… I would suggest to have a live chat so people can talk to someone at an instant in today’s market but overall I’m happy to say that they are fixed and I did change my review from a one star to a four-star keep up the good work
Putting holds on my money with no explanation.
I used to love everything about Revolut. Until recently they held my weekly payment for unemployment to verify its origin. I thought that was weird since it’s issued by the government but I verified it and the rep said I shouldn’t have an issue. One week followed without a hitch but now, they are holding another. This time, it’s been over a week with no explanation on why they are holding it. Every customer service rep uses the same excuse that “a higher team is investigating this, contact us tomorrow”. Investigating WHAT? I’ve already verified it, it’s an unemployment check I NEED TO LIVE ON during these Covid times and you are holding my money with no reason given. And giving me the same excuse over and over that it’s being looked into and the relevant team will contact you. Looking into WHAT?! It’s an unemployment check! If you have important deposits coming in, DON’T USE REVOLUT. They will hold your money with no explanation and no timing given on resolution.
This is the worst banking app I have EVER WORKED WITH. I am so disappointed in this company. They lie to you, they steal your money. They’ll freeze your account and decline transactions even when the funds are there!!! They won’t respond to your chat messages for hours (BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIVE PHONE CALL OPTION, only automated system.) and they will repeat the same thing over and over with no kind of update or result. Then you’ll get passed around to different agents every 30 mins so you have to re-explain yourself.
They’ll not authorize your transactions at times and your purchase will get declined, again, even when the funds are there in the account!!!
I am warning you to not go with this company and stay far away, you will ultimately regret it and there is a possibility you won’t have access to your funds either, it’s actually a guarantee. I was stranded away from my home and locked out of my account for simply making deposits.
I can’t believe I have been treated like this and I STILL don’t have access to my funds. They even had the audacity to offer me to file a complaint through survey monkey which is not a site directly connected to the company which shows you how not serious they are. In times of emergencies or urgency, I was ignored and mistreated terribly when it’s literally my own money. Banking with Revolut is the WORST decision I have EVER made. The company is trash and worthless. BEWARE and save yourself a headache.
