My food was fine and delivery time was shorter than expected...
I was quite confused while deciding whether to believe the good or bad comments of this app. But I decided why not just give it a try (I can’t live without Chinese food). End up the delivery time was 37 minutes and I don’t see a problem with the food. My thoughts about the hating comments might be coming from 1. One of the cities that this app is new launch and not operating well. 2. The competing apps playing tricks on each others’ comments. Therefore, I would suggest people just try to download and look at its menu, price on their own. Maybe give it a try too like how I did and you might have a good experience like me. (Currently staying at Columbus, Ohio)
Good food but terrible customer service
I have been using this app for over one year. I see that everybody is complaining about the late delivery, which is absolutely true. Don’t be surprised if you get your food after two hours. Here I just want to share some worst experience that I got as a long term customer for RICEPO. About one month ago, I was in my friends home. I used RICEPO to order some food. After the order was placed, I noticed that I used my own address instead of my friend’s, where this app will not deliver to. So I contacted RICEPO immediately through their app to cancel the order. A few minutes later, their customer service called me stating that the restaurant has already finished two dishes so they cannot cancel it. Really?? After less than five minutes?? I said okay, I will keep the order, but can you deliver it to my friends address? They said no, you have to go home and wait for the driver, who should arrive in 40 minutes. I said fine. So I arrived home after 30 minutes, waiting for the driver, who was late for another 90 minutes. That day was supposed to be a farewell party for my best friend, and I wasted over two hours waiting for the food delivery. When I took the food to my friends home, everything got cold already. Then I called their customer service, which was apparently a google voice number. NO ONE picked the phone. Sent out a text message to them, which was also ignored. This is how you will be treated as a valued customer. Good job RICEPO.

Irresponsible Delivery. Poor customer service
I ordered on Recipo for so many times from New York to Boston, but I’m so disappointed in this app. I ordered 2 bubble tea, and the delivery guy claimed the road was closed (while I can still see cars on the road from my window). He said didn’t want to deliver my food anymore and hung up the phone with super bad attitude. The most disappointed part is how the customer service responded, they said they had to communicate with the driver first before making any decision. The driver uploaded a video that makes up the ‘fact’ that it’s a road close so he couldn’t turn left. However, the truth is the road he was on the right way. Even if the road is closed, he should have called me and I can pick up instead of telling me he didn’t want to deliver anymore. Recipo needs to have a better control over the delivery service to avoid this kind of irresponsible delivery man. After so many calls and time wasted, I got fully refunded, however, I’m so disappointed and will stop using this app anymore.
