At RiffTrax, we make movies funny! With the new mobile app for RiffTrax, you can subscribe to Friends for a low monthly fee, and view your entire Library of purchases from the RiffTrax website.
The RiffTrax app allows streaming access to videos in the RiffTrax catalog! Features include:
- Subscribe to Friends for unlimited streaming access to hundreds of hours of hilarious content from our Friends catalog of video content.
- Watch your purchased video content in your Library (subscription not required)
- Curated content playlists updated regularly!
With a RiffTrax Friends subscription, you'll get access to hundreds of RiffTrax titles from our catalog of streaming videos, plus:
- Hand-curated lists of featured content each month
- Friends-only Discounts on purchases made on our website
- Periodic exclusive Friends content
A subscription is not required to use the app. The app can also be used to watch all purchased content from My Library, as well as watch trailers of releases and view our catalog of releases.

A good start!
FINALLY, a proper RiffTrax app for watching my library of movies! It works pretty well enough, although I’m hoping for an update to add missing features like landscape support, picture-in-picture and higher resolution art for all the movies. Keep up the riffing!

Hi there, thanks for the helpful feedback! We've just enabled picture-in-picture and updated the poster art to be higher resolution. Landscape support is available when the video is playing full-screen, but at the moment we're unable to support "device orientation change"-based landscape/portrait modes. If we were to make the app entirely landscape, would that be better? Or worse? Needs to be Optimized for iPad
I agree with the previous reviewer. The app is good for an initial release and it functions as expected, but it really needs landscape support and better res for the movie art. This feels like an iPhone app that’s been stretched out.

Sorry about the low-resolution imagery. That's been fixed and we'll continue to make some more improvements in that regard. As far as landscape support goes, video players do play in Landscape but we can't yet support a layout that re-flows when you turn the device 90 degrees. Would you prefer the entire app be in landscape mode? We can give that a try as well but hopefully we can offer the dynamic layout based on orientation in a future update!
Another medium to inject rifftrax into my veins
As a Patreon and Rifftrax Friends member, apparently I can’t get enough of Rifftrax. This app is much appreciated. I love the Picture in Picture capability. I am amazed at how perfectly the app runs right out of the gate.
