Description

Ritual brings people together with the best takeout spots near their work or home neighborhoods. We connect you with those local gems, the hot new restaurants, and your favorite chains. We believe it’s those real world connections — when the barista knows your name, the chef knows just how you like your order, or being greeted like a regular from your very first visit — that make communities, and the people and places in them, thrive.

Order ahead and ditch the wait.
No more waiting in line to order, or killing time while your meal is being prepped. We’ll notify you exactly when it’s time to go pick up your food — so you get your latte, salad, taco, burrito, sushi, burger, pizza, poke or pad thai at its freshest.

Menu options? Oh, we have them.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. Choose from hundreds of restaurants near you, and thousands of menu choices. Search by cuisine style or restaurant proximity. Quickly reorder your faves or discover new places. Easily customize your orders too. Whatever you’re in the mood for, find it in the App.

No sneaky fees (they leave a bad taste in our mouths.)
We love extras — extra shot of espresso, extra cheese, extra spicy — customize away. The exception? Extra fees. We never add service charges or other fees on your orders. The price in-store or on the restaurant website is always the price you pay in the App. Always.

Be the office hero.
Doing a lunch or coffee run? Get your coworkers in on it. With Piggyback, it’s easy to create work teams and place group orders. No more counting back change, or figuring out who’s paid. Earn bonus points (from us, and with your colleagues) when you pick up, plus get in some daily steps! 10 coffees, one easy and rewarding run — epic.

Get rewarded with Loyalty+.
Got a go-to breakfast, lunch or coffee spot? Earn extra rewards for those daily rituals. With Loyalty+, you collect stamps at your favorite local participating restaurants. Redeem those stamps for free food. Repeat. It’s a delicious cycle.

Enjoy easy and secure payment.
Thousands of local spots, one quick and easy way to pay. Save your personal or company credit card in the app, and pay with a tap. Your data is encrypted, so we or the restaurant never see your number. And your card or cash stays in your wallet, for safe, contact-free payments and pick ups.

Reward employees with Ritual for Teams.
Our corporate teams program makes it easy to reward employees through credits, meal plans, and other perks. Create employee meal plans that work with your team’s size & budget, and support favorite local merchants through targeted incentives. Our user-friendly portal makes office ordering quick and easy, whether your team is 10 or 100+.

An outlier!

Disclaimer, I’m generally too cheap too use all the various food delivery apps. More often than not the order is wrong and no one takes responsibility. Those apps always feel sleazy too because the prices are inflated and then your asked to tip before receiving service.

Before I signed up for Ritual I checked the business model and it seems to be subscription based rather than commission based. Ritual prices are supposed to match in store, this all feels more honest and fair to me.

After using for a few weeks there’s a lot to love, fairly accurate order ready times and walk time estimations. They also have rewards programs that incentivize trying something new. It’s not just value, but ease! Ritual makes it easy to place that first order with a new restaurant, no google, no janky website menu...needless to say, I keep using it! Although, I do wish custom tipping options were available, often times it’s only 10, 15, 20%.

The Food Ordering App That Shares The Wealth

Unlike all the other food ordering apps out there, this one actually respects your time and appreciates your business. Ritual has a very responsive and informative progress reporting system that keeps you updated on the status of your order. It will tell you exactly when to leave to pick up your order, so that you don’t end up waiting around for your food. And even more impressive, Ritual has a really awesome point rewards system which rewards you every time you place an order, pick up an order for a co-worker, write a restaurant review, or invite a co-worker to join the app. All of these reward points add up to actual dollars which you can use to make purchases. I’ve gotten many literal free lunches from this app, because Ritual actually makes it worth your time to use it. Which is just the way things should be 👍

Invasion of privacy what a joke

Now Ritual wants to force me to access my location in order to use the application I’ve been using for a year. I’ll be sure to let the food retailers how horrible Ritual’s business practices are. Won’t use this application again. Not sure what’s worse Apple not putting reviews in chronological order and the most recent not showing on first screen in App Store or Rituals data mining. Both seem pretty bad and very disappointed the Apple would conduct themselves this way. Tech companies definitely need a wake up call.

Response to developer. So are you saying that Ritual was gathering my location without asking permission of the user. I had my location for this app shut off and unless Apple was allowing you to bypass which then there are bigger issues at hand. What your implying is that since the update to your app you have changed the way the location services are shown to consumers. Either turn on your location or don’t use the app. In the past you just accessed the location of users ? And Please stop with the patronizing responses as if people can’t figure out how long it takes to get to a restaurant.

Developer Response ,

Hi, we're happy to let you know that we no longer require location services so you can now use our app without enabling your location :)
