Global Features - In the case where a save game image is not synced over cloud saves, there are now temporary images set up for each area of Riven. Major - Various performance improvements made based on scalability quality. - Cursor movement when using a gamepad is now scaled correctly for engaged regions. Minor - Fixed some UI text for checkpoints in the Help Settings menu being cut off at certain resolutions. - Fixed a block that could occur if you ran around the back of a door while it was closing on Jungle Island. - Fixed an issue where multiple checkpoint saves could be made at the same time. - Fixed an issue with the focused element in the menu resets after the menu finishes fading in when opening it. - Fixed the appearance of some rocks on Survey Island looking too reflective when Ray Traced Reflections are enabled. - The player is now prevented from disengaging on the wood cart while it is starting to move. - Fixed a clipping issue with the submarine on Jungle Island under certain circumstances. - Fixed some lighting issues with the wahrk on Survey Island. - The player is now prevented from putting away or taking out their satchel while it is already in transition. - Fixed some mesh issues with the gallows on Jungle Island when being viewed from the submarine. - Fixed a small white square appearing on a certain valve.

Features - Re-enabled SM5 RHI to help with performance on lower-memory Macs. Major - Removed cloth simulation on Gehn as it caused instability and crashes on some platforms. - Made the initial rotating room button on Temple Island more clickable at a distance, with better clarity on when it is interactable to begin with. - Fixed some maglev tracks not being visible from certain viewpoints. - (SPOILER) Fixed an autosave issue that could occur during the Tay ambush/boat sequence. - (SPOILER) Fixed an issue where the player could be unable to progress under certain conditions after watching (or missing) the Gehn cinematic in the temple on Temple Island. - Fixed a possible race condition where the woodcart may appear on the other end of the tracks but still think it’s in the proper location. - Fixed an issue where the player could get tripped up on some collision during a certain sequence with Gehn in Age 233. Minor - Corrections made to certain dates in Gehn’s Age 233 journal to be chronologically correct.

Hey all, This patch introduces support for ray-traced reflections into Riven, among various quality of life fixes and improvements. Please note that Ray Tracing support in Riven is only available on M3+ chips for Mac. Features - Added Ray Tracing support for M3+ Macs. - Macs now run the game in the Metal 3 RHI, simplifying the graphics pipeline for all supported Macs. - Auto detect now supports auto-setting appropriate supersampling settings based on your scalability settings and platform type. - Added cloth simulation to Gehn’s clothing. - Added engagement windows to the oven in the village on Jungle Island, and to the throne in Age 233. - Added a confirmation window when deleting a photo in your Notebook. - Improved the lighting setup around the Survey Island elevator to bring it visually closer to the way it looked in the original Riven. - Added support for the player to look back behind them a bit further when on the boat in Tay. Major - Fixed a random crash that could occur when moving very quickly between two areas with different music playing. - Fixed a pesky cursor disappearing issue that could randomly occur for some users. - Implemented a workaround for auto detect not behaving well on Mac and sometimes setting too high of settings for what your Mac can handle. Auto detect will now use a specific set of rules based on the number of cores available on your Mac. - Fixed the player being unable to climb out of a particular water hole in the village basin. - Fixed double-clicking on ladders while fast travel on ladders is enabled causing the player to not actually travel anywhere at all. - Fixed levels loading visibly when loading save games made in certain areas of Riven. - Fixed book pages flipping back and forth when spamming page turns. - Improvements made to one of Gehn’s ending animations.
