Like Roads of Rome 1 with a few minor twists
I'm not quite sure how to describe this type of game - it's basically a building time management/strategy game, where you must complete some tasks before the clock runs out. This is a pretty good entry in that genre. Very similar to the first Roads of Rome game, with a few interesting additions. They also got rid of the annoying mini-games, which is a plus to me. The graphics are okay. Recommended if you like time management games in general.
Not any better than #1, with some weird stuff
I really liked the original game, so I got this one as soon as I finished the first. Did it have new aspects/features over the first one? Kind of. It added weird stuff that, for all the purported Romanness of the storyline, was distinctly un-Roman, including having to pay off a barbarian so he will leave you alone, submarines, and teleporters. At its heart its still a resource accumulation strategy game. Bottom line, it's fun, but they didn't really out much effort into making it better and substantively more creative than the first one.
Better than the first game
Keeps you busy without making you crazy. The graphics are nice too. If you like Time Management games this is a good one.
