This app by Trango Climbing provides workout timers based on the Rock Climber's Training Manual protocol and the Rock Prodigy series of hangboards:

- Timed Work, Timed Rest (e.g. ARC, Climbing rounds) *

The hangboard timer is a unique feature of this app providing a timer with repetitions of short Hang and Rest periods (a Set) followed by a longer Break period. You can customize the number of Exercises, Sets and Rep(etition)s, and select the amount of time for Work, Rest and Break (rest between sets) periods. For convenience, it has 3 default training cycles for beginner moderate and advanced climbers. In these workouts hand grips are shown on the screen. It is also possible to change the settings of a default workout, or setup a complete custom workout.

The other timers can be used for various other climbing or general exercises, such as to time the rest period while performing campusboard training, core fitness exercises, climbing rounds on a boulder wall, ARCing, and many other exercises.

Room for improvement

Good to have a specific app since my gym has this hangboard.
The bad: no watch connectivity, no hearth rate data, workouts are not recorded, therefore you can’t track your progress, no option to record how much weight was used or which holds or finger combinations needed weight.
The horizontal mode it’s not very good, the items on the screen overlap.
Cannot see the workout as a list
The next hold picture appears for a very short time, it could show in the background while performing the individual set. I hope the app it’s revised soon

Excited to have an app specific to the rock prodigy. Seems like some of the feedback from some of the poor ratings has been fixed. Wonder if you could fix the ability to “edit” the default hang board work outs? It would also be cool to be able to save multiple custom hangboard work outs, and to integrate into those. Thanks for creating this:)

Good updates

Thanks for the updates. It works great for me now.
I agree with another reviewer it would be nice if the timer ran even when you left the app. That way you can respond to a text or something during a rest period without it pausing.

Overall a good timer for hangs and other exercises as well.
