Needs work

So this is very good if you don’t have a big enough computer screen to hold everything, since you can control smaller things from it as you keep the player map up on your computer. However I will say that Roll20 still needs to add the player map as a function available on the app. The full site is available for iPad online, but I think having the condensed app to hold everything is better. Also I haven’t tried yet but I’ve heard that you can’t edit stuff, which is another thing that should change, I would love to be able to edit my character sheet on the couch while using the app.

Post review, the character sheets won’t load for me at all so I’m gonna have to give this a one star until that gets fixed and the player map feature still isn’t in this after three years

Lacks basic functionality

See title.
App barely operates even when its the only program running on the device. Can break in a variety of ways before you even actually get into a game, and even then its only good for a GM because you can see all your notes and pages.

Limited functionality and likely hasnt been updated since ios 8.1, which is the oldest ios its compatible with. Shame the company doesnt further development, and considering it runs so poorly should they even be advertising it on their wiki as if its some kind of useful tool? Hard to say. Needs some desperate TLC

Too little too late

After the latest update, the app now works. However, recent developments have made it useless.

Before, the app acted as a sort of “tabletop aid”, used to access chat, virtual character sheets, and handouts, often accompanied by a computer running the tabletop portion of Roll20. However, with Roll20’s new ability to run on tablets in the browser and Apples efforts to make more of the actions from desktop browsing available on iPad in iPadOS, this app has become useless. All its features can be accessed through Safari as well on iPad as on desktop.

As much as I’d rather use an app client than a web client, the web client is obviously the better option.
