简介

Rysncinator is a developer tool to manage commonly used rsync commands.

Use Rsyncinator to generate new rsync commands, save them for re-use, and run them easily in your preferred terminal by copying to clipboard.

Built from the ground up for MacOS, Rsyncinator feels right at home on the Mac and supports Dark mode, multiple tabs and windows, and is configurable.

Did not work on MacOS 12.5 on Apple Silicon

The app would run but it would not copy files. It also apparently did not recognize FCP libraries (which are simply folder trees with .fcpbundle suffix). If I entered by hand to terminal the rsync syntax used by the app, that worked. So it is generating the right rsync syntax, but is not executing it, at least on this platform. The competing app grsyncx works fine, so I will be using that one.

Fails every time

Have two attached HD via USB. Want to move a single file from one drive to the next. The RSYNC command this generates fails every time.

Hi Bacillus, if you’re able to provide the generated Rsync command and a screenshot of the configuration I’ll take a look and see if I can fix the issue. You can submit it here: https://github.com/snipline/rsyncinator-desktop/issues

Just what I needed

This tool has a good UI that explains the options better than any online docs for the command. And the command it generated, just works!

Remommendations:
1) Have an extra field for the username. I had to remember to put a "pi@" as part of the remote name.

2) How to get the command onto the clipboard is not obvious. Please add a caption or an explicit button.

3) Having a button that opens a terminal window and executes the command would be great.

Thanks for the positive feedback!

1) I've just added the username field in the new release (1.3.0)

2) I'll have a think about how to improve that, I might add 'Copy' text to the toolbar button and make the command preview at the bottom copiable.

3) I did have this in originally but unfortunately it's not possible to do this in the App Store, sorry! I might investigate to see if Shortcuts in MacOS Monterey allow for this some way instead.
