Sign up
-Each user must sign in with their .edu university email address.
-The user is then required to verify the email via one-time passcode (OTP) sent to their email address.
-The user then uploads profile picture and user details

Using the app
-Two main features: Marketplace and Community

Marketplace
-Area where users are able to buy and sell their unwanted or needed items

Buying
-Click on a listing
-Message user using the buy icon
-Agree on price and safe meeting location

Selling
-Listing an item is easy
-Click the purple Create button at the bottom of the page
-Click sell
-Upload photos, item title, category, price, and detailed description.
-Click post and your item is visible to other users

Community
-Community is intended for users to upload text only or text and photo-only posts.
-It is the perfect area to find a roommate, ask for a specific item you are looking for, ask for an opinion on a topic, ask for the best services to use around town (barber, lawn care, movers, etc.).
-To make a post hit the purple create button at the bottom of the page.
-Press community
-Fill in your post details Title and description required and upload photos if you desire to.
-Hit post and your listing is available for college students all across your campus to see and interact with.

Profile and Reviews
-When a user sells an item they must mark the item as sold and then select the user who bought it.
Once the seller has marked as sold and selected the correct buyer, they are then allowed to write a review.
-Reviews are text and rating only.
-The seller will rate the buyer anywhere between 1 and 5 stars. There is also an area to add text to your review.
-Once the seller posts their review the buyer will be able to rate the seller (note: the buyer will be unable to see the seller's feedback until they post their own review of the seller).
-Your average rating across all buying and selling transactions will appear below your name on any listings and when you message sellers.

Settings
-Users have the ability to change password, edit profile, delete account, and share the app all within the setting page.


Why do we need your email address?
-We never share your data. We use your email address for one thing and one thing only that being Security
-Your .edu email address will ensure that we only enable users from your own university to trade with you. -This ensures the highest level of safety on rumie
-We also request your first and last name. This way other students on campus know who you are. Think about it, would you want to buy a couch from someone that doesn’t have a profile picture or a first and last name?

Our Commitment to Safety
-We are committed to safety. As a result, if you ever see a listing or post that breaks the rules or is illegal please report the listing by sending it to contact@rumieapp.com and we will delete the listing and ban the user from ever posting or accessing your marketplace ever again.
1 strike and you’re out. We enforce this rule because we have a zero-tolerance policy on illegal listings, listings that contain hate speech, or any other listing that breaks our rules.
