Runiac combines customized fitness and weight loss plans, giving users a solution to build a toned and sexy body and harmonize their life. Runiac is a free app available for use.

Runiac integrates with Fitness&Motion module, so you can track fitness data.


You can download the app for free. Further use requires a subscription.
- When opting for a subscription, you pay the fixed price for your country, which is displayed in the app.
- Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account upon confirmation of purchase.
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period.
- You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase.
- When canceling a subscription, your subscription will stay active until the end of the current period. Auto-renewal will be disabled, but the current subscription will not be refunded.

Sticking with it

This has been really great for me so far. I just finished my 14th run, which is farther than I’ve gotten on any other running program in a long time. I am a former runner who has put on weight with having kids, and trying to get back into a routine after a (very) long hiatus. The one thing that really makes me laugh is when there are 10 seconds left in a segment and the voice says “100 meters left.” Lol, do you think I’m Usain Bolt? Otherwise, to me it would be great to be able to see the full workout ahead of time so I can mentally prepare myself for what’s coming. Maybe that’s part of your training strategy to keep it more of a mystery, but I feel like I can spend more effort when I know what’s coming my way. It would be great if I could plug in the fact that I’m doing this 3x per week (and which days). It seems like it’s created for running every other day, so sometimes the “rest day” notifications I get don’t line up with my actual rest days. Finally, I really like the fact that I can listen to music or an audiobook in the background. That’s definitely a crucial feature for me. Also I guess I’m confused on the mileage reported on this app. Is that estimated or does this app use GPS (or otherwise read the info from my Apple Watch)? Thank you!

Love it, just a little tweak :-)

I really like the concept of your app. The only thing is as well I’m doing the interval training if the app close as well in my pocket it stops. It doesn’t continue to run in the background even if my phone shuts off and is Lock Screen. Also, can I make a suggestion about when there’s the warm-up workouts and the cool down workouts before and after the walks, can you show the picture on that main screen instead of an orange screen with the work out that you’re supposed to be doing? That’s all I really have but everything else is pretty awesome!

Needs work - has potential

$20 a month, very expensive so my rating will reflect my expectations of a $20 a month app.

App constantly closes in the middle of workout. I think this happens when in low battery mode.

- decent run plans which gradually improve your fitness level while telling you when to run and when to walk which makes running more approachable and easier to be consistent.

Bad or lacking features:
- doesn’t keep track of days you runs so it will tell you “today is a rest day” even if you took yesterday off. It’s not much better than a printed out schedule
- Tells you “half way” for each individual segment but not your overall run, so you can’t plan out your run loop
- no voice configurations like volume so it just blasts your eardrum when you listen to music
- Can’t dynamically extend runs or configure rest/run segments
- doesn’t gps track your run, need to have other apps open while this is on to get a complete feature set
- doesn’t adjust your plan or future runs based on the feedback that it asks you to provide so the feedback is pointless
- there are only 3 run plans: weight loss, train for 5k, train for 10K

Overall, at this point in the app development it doesn’t provide much benefit over a free timer app.
