RunPee
Ratings & Reviews
Like i said in the title, I downloaded this app after an Ifunny posting in like 2013 or something. I was probably 13 or so, and have been religiously using it every time I go to the theater. As someone who enjoys soda and even large pops, it’s great, but even better if you’re strapped for cash, have to buy a small, and refill it. I mean I tell everyone about this app I go to the movies with, or if it comes up in conversation I praise it. Not only is the core feature such a genius idea, but then they have continued to innovate and improve with peeples polls and such, also telling you if there is something after the credits. It’s like having the worlds knowledge on the movie you are watching without spoilers. Love it and can’t recommend enough. Hope they continue it for years to come, I donate when I can but there’s no ads or anyway to make money besides dono so you know they’re in it for the right reasons. I’ll stand by being a peeple forever, thank you runpee for helping with my small bladder!
This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let's you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It's really a wonderful app. I've subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn't seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven't tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!
I go feral for this app. I love it so much and I wish everyone knew about it and used it. It is incredibly useful and I would be devastated if this app ever disappeared. Things I love: 1) the pee times! It’s so handy to know the best time to go and then read the synopsis of what’s happening while I’m gone. I never have to worry about missing the good bits! 2) knowing if there is a post-credits scene or not. This might be my fav feature because I would have missed out on some pretty critical scenes if it weren’t for RunPee. 3) the movie review and viewer rankings. This info has made me watch some movies that I normally wouldn’t and it’s nice seeing things outside of my usual scope. 4) that it’s a small family run business. I love shopping small and it really does feel like I’m part of the RunPee family! If you reach out to them, Dan will personally respond to you and he is so warm and helpful. GET THIS APP AND THEN SUBSCRIBE! It is absolutely worth it and you’ll be using it again and again!
I don’t see too many movies in theaters nowadays (post-covid). I’m a fan of Netflix and HBO Max. But Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness just came out and my boyfriend and I just had to see it ASAP. We saw it in a nice theater, snuck in our own snacks and bought some refreshments as well. It’s a two hour movie and after one hour I already had to pee. I had pressed download on this app right when the movie started, and there was horrible reception, so it didn’t download in time for me to use the timer feature (you start the timer at a noted part of the beginning of the movie, and it will tell you where you are in the movie and it can also buzz to tell you good times to go pee). I knew what time the movie started at though, so I could calculate how far we were into the movie, and it also tells you what line to listen for so you can go run and pee. This second Dr. Strange movie had three times it recommended to pee, I was able to catch the third. I heard the line, ran and peed, and got back right as the scene was ending (perfect timing!). It tells you how long you have to pee before the scene ends. It also gives you a synopsis of exactly what happened while you were gone. It was supposedly a really basic scene of the characters just running, but it told me exactly who ran and what happened, etc. It even told us when the two extra end scenes post-credits were (: I was very happy to have it and I will use it anytime I go to a theater, or even if I’m just with a bunch of people watching a movie and don’t want to make anyone pause it for me. Would recommend! I can’t recall ever writing an app store review to be honest, but this app is so genius and it doesn’t seem to have enough of a name for itself given how great it is so I thought I’d help out. (: P.S. The app explains they actually have a staff member go see the movies and choose the perfect scenes to pee during, so you know you’re not getting a bad recommendation from a random user!
I’ve been using RunPee for a few years now and it’s basically a requirement of going to the movies for me. The best part of course are the “pee times” that give you cues, synopses and times for when you can pee without missing the most important parts of the movie. There is also information about the credits- length, extras and if there are any extra scenes at the wayyy end. Super helpful to just know that it is or isn’t worth staying. There is a timer function that will buzz your phone when it’s a good time to pee. I also appreciate that the app is very conscientious about it being an app you use in a theater- dark background, all silent alarms etc. I will always enjoy the experience of the theater even if I could watch things at home- but I’ve even used it at home to check for things like after credit scenes or other information too.
This is one of those apps that should be a staple on every movie-watcher’s phone (so, basically, every phone). It provides very useful and concise information without risk of exposing you to spoilers. Worth every penny (for the value of what you get out of this app, the price is far better than fair - and they provide very flexible options for any type of user).I just updated to the most recent version of the app, which was described as a complete overhaul of the previous versions. IMO, the user interface is now even easier to navigate and I can see that no sacrifices were made to quality or performance. Hats off to all involved with this project! I’ve had the app for several years, but I don’t think I created an account until ‘20. I will be a fan for life, I highly recommend 😊 🙌👏🙌
By and far best investment Ive made. I used to drive my husband nuts because Id be a fidgeting mess the last half hour of the movie trying not to miss important parts. Now I just turn this app on and *bam* I can actually focus on the movie the whole time. Even puts alerts to my watch so even better. Also I can guarentee all the 5 star reviews arent fake as one person accused - its just that so many of us movie-goers had the same problem and this fixed it. Yes, it is paid but jeeze its expensive to keep watching movies and updating an app for every movie. And if you read more about the creator he mentions he has several people contributing - so yeah its paid but omg worth every cent. 10/10
I’ve had Run Pee for years now (since Dec 2015!!). This app is consistent and reliable. You can get pee coins by watching ads, so easy and convenient and free. The app has never steered me wrong for any movie. It gives you a synopsis of what you will miss during the pee time, a 2 minute synopsis of the beginning of the movie in case you’re late, and let’s you know if there are any after credits! I like that it has a timer so you know how much longer till the next pee time and how much longer you have left in the current pee time. Honestly, I literally cannot watch any movie in the theater without it now. This way I don’t miss anything!
I had a friend tell me about this app several years ago and once I tried it I was in love. I love to have a soda and popcorn or snack when I watch a movie - but that also means I can’t make it through the movie without having to leave to go pee. This app not only tells you the best time to leave to go pee, but how long you have, a brief synopsis of what you will miss and a couple other pee times where you will miss less. It also tells you if there are extra scenes after the movie. I think this is the first review i have done for an app - because i love it so much and wanted to share so others can enjoy it too.
If you’re like me and enjoy a 92oz soda as part of the movie experience, you’ll be thankful for this app telling you the best times to go for a quick break. Whether that’s to refill your soda or recycle it.Possibly an even better feature is the info on if the movie has after credits scenes. There’s nothing worse than sitting there reading about who the key grip was, then finding out that’s all you did. I blame Marvel for starting the stupid trend.Seriously, I see a dozen movies a month and use this app every single time. Worth every Penny of the infinity coin thing I bought.
