I’ve been playing this game for yeeeeaaars! I ❤️ this game! I read some of the negative posts & even I’m sorry that some are unhappy with Ruzzle especially thinking the app is designed in a way to cheat... I’ve made a few genuine Ruzzle friends, some were even relatives of each other! I have learned over the years how to earn the ink, so I haven’t spent money since I paid years ago to get rid of the ads & my first purchase of ink & I don’t even remember how much that was 🤷🏾‍♀️ the only thing I need help with just started recently: the free help I earn daily that I save to use during my team play, the videos are taking much longer to play. At first I thought it was my phone, but after I hit one of them 4 times in a row for the first time & realized it used up all my free ones & still had to use my ink for 100 & this has happened several times within the past 2 weeks. And a few times it’s happened with my ink too... 😕 So I’m like ok, time to notify my Ruzzle fam 😂😂 because I’ve never had a customer service issue with you guys, nor have my Ruzzle friends that I’ve referred to y’all when they’ve had questions or issues! The game is pretty good and the random matchup system works well to find similarly skilled players. But the ads after every single game are too much, and take too long. It takes less time to close and reopen the app than it does to get through an ad. Crazy. Team play is underwhelming, and both team games and events are designed to make you use coins for power ups. I don’t think a puzzle game like this should have power ups, but it’s a minor issue and not available in the regular matches, thankfully. Overall, solid game, best of the boggle-like games I’ve played, but the ads are the biggest problem. I know the devs need to make some money, but these ads just take way too long, some require multiple clicks, each with their own timers, to get past them.ADDED NOTE: Dev’s response to this review says that ads can be passed after 6 seconds, which would be reasonable, but is unfortunately not the truth. Most ads require you to wait roughly six seconds before the double arrows come up to pass it, but then an App Store page for the app being advertised comes up (which you must click “done” on), and then ANOTHER 6 second timer comes up to pass a third page, all for the same ad. Three separate clicks with their own timers for one ad is just ridiculous. Alternatively, I’ve been getting ads where there is a ten-second timer, which doesn’t start right away. I would be thrilled to have ads with a 6 second timer, and would not have complained.

I have loved this game for a long time. But I’m frustrated that there are SO MANY ads in the game now, they are now inserted constantly while playing. It is testing the patience of people like me who enjoy this game! It used to be but they would just be in between games. Now they are in between every round of the game, they pop up every time you go to the next thing. Perhaps just a way to get people to spend the money to go ad-free. Hard to come to any other conclusion..... I just read a bunch of other reviews. There has been similar feedback. If anything, the ad issue has become worse! They are not only inserted in more places while playing the game, but they’re also harder to get out of, and often times you have to wait through two different timers to get out of the ad….. the main body of the ad, and then, when you exit out of that, there’s another timer that counts down another 10 seconds or more. I play a lot of games, and I’ve never come across a game that has so many ads. It takes all the fun out of playing a game, and I suppose that is the point… So that we will buy the ad free version. I suppose unless enough people complain, nothing will be done about it. It’s frustrating to read the developers response to peoples complaints they offer no solution, because they don’t want a solution or have a solution for you. Other than to buy the ad free version!

The more recent updates to this game have ruined it. There are bugs and glitches constantly that make the user lose coins, coins that you must watch ads to earn and sometimes can earn a few by winning events/tournaments. Sometimes you watch the ads and you never get the coins. Sometimes you play Solo Events and are unable to claim your avatar at the end, and sometimes the game says the event ended (when it just started) and clears your progress so those coins you used to play each round were wasted. They make it difficult to earn coins, so when you spend them on games and/or boosters and your progresses is cleared because of a glitch/bug, it’s like you paid for something you never got. How fair is that? Imagine going to a store, giving them your money, and walking out empty handed. That’s what’s happening way too often to this once enjoyable game. And support seems to only acknowledge that you made a complaint and they ask for a screen shot. How a screen shot tells them that my progress was cleared is beyond me. They would need a screen shot of where I was at before it was cleared as well, and how would I have that?? They don’t reimburse lost coins and it takes an excessively long time until glitches/bugs are fixed. Used to be my favorite game. Hoping they change things so it can be my favorite again.
