We made set up a breeze. No complicated configuration, no terrifying technology. Create an account, enter your device ID and you're ready to go.
ryfi is like a remote control for your kids' internet.
Turn their internet on and off with a single tap in the ryfi app. You can do this anytime and from anywhere, no need to be at home yourself. Just open the app and tap.
Easily set limits using the countdown timer.
Give your kids a set amount of time to be online using a timer. Once the time is up, ryfi turns off their internet. Using a timer takes the stress out of setting boundaries and makes it easy to manage how much time they have online.
Sometimes your kids need to be online to do school work, but we all know how many distractions lurk just a click away. Turn on ryfi Study Mode with just one tap and ryfi will block some of the most distracting social media, video and gaming sites and apps. Study Mode helps your kids avoid distractions while doing schoolwork, or anytime they need a little focus boost.
Ever discovered your kids in bed, lights out, but still online using a mobile phone or tablet? ryfi lets you set up a Bedtime that turns off their wifi at a time you select and keeps it off all night.
Added peace of mind with the built-in adult content filter.
ryfi blocks over 20,000 adult sites and apps automatically. Nothing to do on your part, not even a single tap is required for this one. Just enjoy the added peace of mind that comes from knowing it's less likely that your kids might stumble onto something they shouldn't see.
ryfi lets you create up to 4 networks and control each one separately. Set different Bedtimes, create timers with different amounts of time for different kids - ryfi provides the flexibility to manage each of your unique kids uniquely. Great for families with kids a few years apart who have different needs and boundaries for screen time.

Bait and Switch
They advertise a device with all sorts of features, the box shows all sorts of features, but they don’t deliver. The only thing you are able to do with router is set a timer, meaning when you set the timer, your child has internet until the time expires. This isn’t at all what was advertised. I can buy a $5 timer at a hardware store that goes on when I set it, and goes off when it is set to. Connect that to any router and that $5 timer does more than this Ryfi device. If nothing else, you can use it as a $100 paper weight (if anyone uses those anymore).
I talked with support, and they said all the features that they advertised are no longer available. They (John) told me that an upcoming update will have “homework mode” that will block Facebook and YouTube, creating a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.
Ryfi has been so helpful to get our daughter on track doing her daily chores and its easy to use. She likes collecting the coins like a game. But she can only collect the coins and check her list of chores when the internet is “on.” The coins are like a bank so she doesn’t have the fear of missing out on iPad time later. The best part is the schedule which automatically turn the internet off. We are so busy and she’s so quiet when she playing in the iPad that we would often forget to get her off the internet. It’s worth getting just for this feature.
The parent portal can be improved. It would be nice if I can see her bank of coins on my website. Also, I would like to see the list of completed chores the next day. Again, we are really busy at the end of the day and I often don’t have time to double check the completed chores. I will have to try it without the auto approve mode.
Been excited about this product but have had many issues so far. I know it has some bugs and that takes time but it’s still frustrating.
First, it Took a while to get confirmation email to finish set up.
App is easy to use once set up but still trying to figure out. Like how do I approve completed chores since I only have the option to auto approve! I love my children but I need to check chores before approving the reward! Would be awesome to require the kids to upload a picture for proof ha ha
Is there a certain amount of tokens required before the marketplace option shows up?
Also, as parents we only have access to this via the app? The main website we ordered the product still shows an error when clicking the download option.
I have high hopes for this product and hope the bugs are fixed soon.
Also, the contact us at the bottom of your main page isn’t working either. So, I feel bad for bugging y’all via instant messager on FB but that seems to be the only way to contact y’all for help!!
Good luck and I will update my review once issues are resolved
