SacAnime 9+

Used the app at SacAnime Winter 2020 and it was only somewhat better than just going to the website. Some content is a list/table that leads to details but most is just the existing web pages. It's missing nicer features of convention apps like showing an exhibitor location on a map or even jumping to the current day & time when viewing the schedule.

My main problem was that it doesn't cache any data. Inside the exhibit hall where cellular signal was weak to begin with and 1,000s of people are using their phones, it would've been nice to show the most recent data while it's trying to connect to its servers.

Bottom line is it's "ok" but I expect more from a con app in 2020.

This app is not functioning and up to date... I guess they never seemed to change it up to date... well I hope they do someday... so disappointing... 😭

I know cons usually procrastinate on the schedule, but the schedule was definitely at the last min. Like I heard they approve marvel panel @ 5pm.

You think with this many years now and racking a lot of money from autographs,they would have a decent app and a week ahead to post the entire schedule.

I download it, and it was not updated until day of con. Then when it was updated, both the photoshoot or the general con schedule, could not be looked up. It was just a blank page every time I tried to look up.

Tried to talk to the spokesperson on the last day of the con, and he just said to redownload the app. By that advice I’ve been just using the website as it’s the last day.

I have see sac anime used better apps in the past through a 3rd party and you can look up your schedule. I guess it goes against you when you can’t plan ahead early.
