Protecting your family is a little easier with Safety Central!
Developed by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the leading nonprofit in the fight to keep children safe, Safety Central is designed to make sure that parents have the tools they need to help them protect their families and act quickly should their children go missing.
At the core of Safety Central is a digital Child ID Kit. One of the most important tools for law enforcement when searching for a missing child is an up-to-date, good quality photo along with descriptive information. A Child ID kit is a simple yet effective way to keep those tools right at your fingertips. The app, which does not share any of your personal information, reminds you when it’s time to update your photos and allows you to store potentially life-saving information about your children in an easily accessible location.
Safety Central does much more than keep track of your personal child ID kit! You can download educational tips and resources from NCMEC’s award-winning educational team, stay up to date on news and events and help law enforcement find missing kids. Users can also join our mission by donating to NCMEC directly through the app. Safety Central is a free download thanks to a generous gift from NCMEC’s partner, EMCOR.
When more families and law enforcement have access to the resources like those found in Safety Central, families can be better educated about the risks their children face, law enforcement will have more tools at their disposal, more missing children will come home safely and more children will have the childhoods they deserve, free from victimization.

Can not pull up any information, when searching "Missing Children".
Wonderful idea for an app. Even though my daughter is 18, I still put in all info about her because she will always be my child, my baby. Only one problem, I can NOT pull up any info regarding any "Child Missing". It goes to a blank white screen once I tap their picture. I've tried it repeatedly with different profiles and still get the same results. Blank white screen with no information.
Simple app does what it should, minor bug found
This app is straight forward and accomplishes its purpose. I like how you can easily and quickly export a PDF of your child’s profile to a variety of services like text, email, AirDrop, etc. this way if your child does go missing, it’s fast and easy to get the vitals out without delay. There are also a few simple quizzes that inform parents of best practices in keeping kids safe.
The app’s a little clunky on input since it’s easy to lose any data if you can’t get all the information in and try to return later (there’s no saving halfway through). Also, there’s no explanation of how to properly shoot photos of finger prints so it’s opaque as to what needs to happen there (it’s optional at least).
I would have sent a bug report to the devs if they offered a way to do so in the app. The only minor bug I found is that there’s a field to enter the pediatrician’s office number but it never appears in the resulting PDF.
Great tool/App! Work in progress
You will enter information about your child, picture and also fingerprints scan. This will help to have in handy to share with authorities in case your child goes missing.
App also has a list of missing children pets state, but pics are very small and there is no detail information.
Thank you you for creating this app for busy and forgetful parents.
