When it works, it’s great!
I’ve used this baby monitor for 7 months. It has worked pretty great for the majority of the time! The picture is very clear when on high settings, the notifications are prevalent, but awesome if you’re not constantly looking at the picture. In the downside, recently it won’t connect to the picture. I’ve called customer support and it hasn’t been helpful to fix the issue. It basically renders the product unusable through the app. Alternatively, they have the hardware for audio, so you’re still able to hear if your baby is moving around. We don’t have any internet problems and they do recommend you use the 2.5 hz connection instead of the 5G. They recommend you contact your ISP however it’s not their problem to fix. It’s definitely frustrating when I have to constantly go check to see if my baby woke up from a nap. The app also randomly turns on and gives notifications while I’m sleeping. We obviously don’t need notifications if my baby’s crib is right next to our bed. Not sure why that’s happening. I will say that the did their due diligence with physical encryption (AES256). I’m a IT professional and I appreciate when products don’t skimp on security.

The Safety 1st Team
This camera has a good quality camera. The picture is great, sound is great. But, it constantly “goes offline” and there’s a bright light on the actually camera that shines right over the baby. I actually cut up construction paper and taped it over the light because of how bright it was. There was suppose to be an update to turn off the light, however it does not work. Now the internet in my house never has an issue anywhere else except the camera. Not being able to check up on the baby is so insanely frustrating. I’ve contacted support way too often over this with never finding a proper solution, each time it’s something different. I’ve also noticed this camera on clearance at my local Target so I hope the ongoing issues they have had aren’t being forgotten if this product isn’t going to be sold anymore.
Nothing but issues. It never works properly. We have had this for over 9 months, if the app worked it would have a better review. First issue was a red light and dead camera/ audio unit. Called sent it back said they had a lot of issues with firmware update and we needed a better charging brick during update process. We received the new one free of charge and within a few days. By far the best part of owning this so far is the competent people you get during customer service. App issues are just about daily. Was able to use the app as the audio unit at first but doesn’t work now. Tried reinstalling the app with no luck. I receive no notifications on my phone ( iPhone with the latest software) no matter what I change in the settings. The app has completely stopped working. If I open it I get no video regardless of WiFi or cell network. And if I do get video there is no sound. Poor poor poor app quality. Even when it “worked” I would have to close the app and open it back up for it to work properly. I’ve waited more than 9 months to post a review and this is my first review of any item I have ever bought in my life if that doesn’t tell you the quality of this then I can’t help you. I will be buying a different brand as soon as possible. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Troubleshooting Wi-Fi connected products can be painful and we completely understand if you're not up for it.
