Sage Haven is a safer messaging app for kids designed for the first few years when kids begin messaging online. Using AI-powered parental safety tools, Sage Haven is designed to block harmful messages before they are even sent, enable easy supervision and controls for parents, and promote healthy, moderate tech usage.

- We issue a free Sage Haven number to each kid which can be shared with trusted family members and friends. Parents will still approve all Connections.
- No existing phone number or data plan is necessary; all that’s required is a device and a Wifi connection.
HOW SAGE HAVEN IS DIFFERENT
Our mission is deeply personal—inspired by a loved one’s mental health struggles due to online bullying. We set up Sage Haven as a Public Benefit Corp with mental health at the heart and soul of everything we do. Sage Haven is founded by serial entrepreneur, Kate Doerksen, and her sister, Anne Pizzuti, who are also both moms with kids in elementary school. We built the app we wished existed for our own families.

This app is absolutely amazing! My daughter is in 3rd grade and I did not foresee her using devices this early, but this app puts the additional safeguards in place that we all need to take this step. We have found that communication is really necessary for organizing afterschool activities and devices have now become a part of schoolwork. With Sage Haven I can track her and she can communicate with a designated group of friends and family that we choose. Importantly, as we let her start to explore messaging, there are real-time prompts to ensure they are maintaining courtesy, kindness and the friendly communication we teach them. While other apps allow parental controls and review of messages, this one gives realtime feedback to kids and monitoring of conversations for an extra safeguard. Our daughter thinks the feedback on messages and content is really cool, and gives her an opportunity to think about joking and empathy and how we speak to others. Love the ability to monitor my child’s messages while they still get to message their friends like usual! A great way to introduce independence in technology while still protecting them and teaching them how to navigate a digital world. We need more companies like this trying to change the landscape for the next generation.

Well the site is what parents need and children also! I have had some family youths that have posted on line and have had negative outcomes. This app certainly would have been beneficial to have a few years ago. Great tool to have !!! Glad to have it!!!

This is the app I’ve always wanted that lets me easily supervise and manage who she can talk to and call! She also loves that she has a number (before she just used her iCloud email on WiFi) and thinks the filters are hilarious!
