Great App

If you have student loans through Sallie Mae, I highly recommend this app! Very user friendly. You can view details of your loans & balances. You can also make payments or set up monthly drafts! This app sends notifications to your phone with reminders as well. I wouldn’t be on top of the loan payments without this app.
My only complaint is that you can’t set up auto payment if your payment is past due, so there were several instances that id be late on my payment, and would want to set up auto-pay so I wouldn’t forget again, and I couldn’t set it up until 24-48 hours later after the app recognized my payment, so I’d inevitably forget to go back and do it afterwards.. and then of course have another late payment.. but ultimately, that was my fault. Overall great app!

Payment System Is Not Completely Efficient :-(.

With regards to auto pay. The system does not allow for auto pay of an individual loan account. You either have to set up the auto pay to pay all of the loan accounts existing for a member or none at all.

The reason why this system is not efficient in the auto pay area, as to my situation is that I have agreed to pay one of the four loans for the member, but not all four. Therefore, I have to set up payments for each month, which has become very cumbersome, because I am a 67 years old and I my memory is not as sharp as a younger version of me. I stress every month to remember to make the payment on time.

The only solution that comes to mind is to set up 2 or 3 future payments for the future due dates. But then I stress to remember if I’ve completed the future set up dates.

When a person reaches senior years, they shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not they have made a payment or not if they wish to set up auto payments.

That is my reasoning. I hope this message isn’t disregarded. These days, I’ve experienced torturous customer service from companies who lead us to believe that they actually are concerned and take feedback seriously. Always seems like a lot of false promises being made. We call it being smoke screened, so to say.

I’m hunching this message will be lost in space once I click send. Oh well, the solar eclipse, set for April 8th, 2024 will have my message float on by in outer space.

Not Accurate

This app is horrible. It is not accurate. Or it’s the reps. I made a payment based on what this app said , it stated no payment was due back in September and the following month received a call for nonpayment. So I paid 125 on September , then I decided to call to see if there was an issue with app and rep told me no and that because I paid double there was nothing due for November. Log into app just to confirm when I generally pay bills on or about November 6 th and app showed $0 amount due. Log in today and says I owe 100 dollars. 50 of which is past due. Ya’ think you can figure this crap out please. No one at Sallie Mae knows really what is going on and di not give accurate info.
