The Average Everyday Adventures of Samantha Browne is an interactive story about a painfully introverted college student who needs to make oatmeal in the communal kitchen of her dorm.

Samantha has been waiting for everyone to go to sleep, or go out, or do whatever it is people who enjoy social interaction do. She’s hungry, impossibly hungry. She’s got a full box of oatmeal waiting for her consumption but she needs your help. Trouble is, helping Sam isn’t always easy.

This interactive experience will challenge you to find the right words to help Samantha as she embarks on her journey to the other side of her bedroom door.

I loved this game!!!

I personally really love these types of games!! Visual novels with this style is so cute and for some reason I love it. I have a suggestion to make this better. I feel like the story is way too short and I would enjoy it even more if it were longer. I also would enjoy it if you could be able to play the game multiple times to gain a reward like coins or something to buy things like a different mug. Don’t get me wrong, I love the mug, But I think it would be way cooler if there were multiple designs you could buy with a currency you could get after playing the game multiple times. I just really want a frog mug- Don’t ask why. Anyways, I think it would also be cool if there were more endings and choices. I think it would be cool if you could be able to make Samantha open up to people like the girls that were in the kitchen. I think it would be amazing if you could make friends with your colleagues in the game as well. This was an amazing game and I hope I could see more games by you in the future!! Thank you for reading.

Beautiful visual novel

As someone that has been struggling with extremely bad anxiety for over a decade this game hit extremely close to home, it was one of the most accurate portrayals of daily social anxiety situations I’ve ever seen. I know it’s silly but it actually made me tear up seeing a gorgeous work of art so accurately capture how anxiety can make even the tinniest of tasks seem like a huge mountain to climb. Whenever I’ve been able to overcome my anxiety and complete small tasks I feel proud of myself but my anxiety also makes me feel like it’s stupid of me to be proud of something so small and this showed me that it’s okay to be proud of yourself for accomplishing those small tasks. I’m not the best at words but I just want to thank the creator of this game for making me feel like I’m not alone and creating this beautiful story ❤️❤️❤️

A quick but satisfying play

I liked the art style of the game, it seemed to fit thematically, and I found the cat mug very cute. I don't think I've explored all possible paths, as I feel Samantha's desire to not mess this up as keenly as she does, but the two paths I went on flowed well. I think this game stressed me out a little honestly, as I understand fully the exact process of Samantha's thoughts. But I think that's what made getting back with the oatmeal cathartic, because at least we managed to have dinner. The game feels accurate to anxiety, but kind of in a good way, the cute style fit somehow, and although I finished quickly, I found making oatmeal to be a very enjoyable accomplishment.
