Version 4.6.3 — July 13, 2026
WordStacks: smoother play
What's New
- WordStacks clues no longer get cut off on the right — longer clues now wrap
onto a second line so you can always read the full hint.
- The letter keyboard now stays docked at the bottom of the screen at all
times — it no longer slips behind the buttons or gets pushed down when a
new shape appears.
- The keyboard pops up automatically when you start a puzzle, with the first
empty tile already selected, so you can begin typing right away.
- When you solve a shape, the next shape's first tile is selected for you —
keep typing without extra taps.
Also in this update
- Small fixes and polish.

Version 4.6.2 — July 11, 2026
LaserLight Word: a tougher hunt
What's New
- LaserLight Word now packs more decoy letters onto the ring, so the letters you actually need are harder to pick out of the crowd.
- Every decoy is a letter that isn't in the word — there's exactly one set of tiles that spells the answer, so no more second-guessing look-alike duplicates.
- The letters now drift and float around until you press START, then lock into place for the round. No peeking ahead — the real puzzle only appears once the clock starts.
Also in this update
- Wording polish in LaserLight Word's How to Play.
- Small fixes and polish.

Version 4.6.1 — July 7, 2026
Card Vision: now a daily puzzle
What's New
- Card Vision is now a once-a-day puzzle. The same day always deals the same
word, so there's one fresh hand to crack each day — come back tomorrow for
the next one.
- Each day is a surprise 3- or 4-letter word. The separate word-length button
is gone; the day decides for you.
- Bigger cards for an easier read.
- Cleaner table: the option buttons (Send back, Snap, Decoy, Mystery, Memory)
now sit at the bottom of the screen, just above the main controls, leaving
the whole board for your cards.
- Cards now scatter across the tray as they're dealt, so none lands directly
under the spot it belongs in.
- Refreshed word list — more variety, all clean.
Also in this update
- Wording and layout polish across Card Vision.
- Small fixes and polish.

Version 4.6.0 — July 6, 2026
Smoother finishes + Card Vision upgrades
What's New
- Solve it and you're done: across the timed puzzles, cracking the puzzle before the clock hits zero now ends the round right away — no more waiting out the timer. The START/RESET button also snaps back to its ready stat instead of staying stu
- Card Vision now gives you more time — 25 seconds per hand instead of 10.
- Card Vision placement dashed outline for every card, with a light divider framing each letter, so you can see exactly where each card should go.
- Card Vision — no more rotating: cards are dealt already turned the righ way,so you just slide each one onto its outline to build the word.
- Card Vision now has Set on the game screen.
Also in this update
- Small fixes and polish.

Version 4.5.9 — July 5, 2026
New Game: Card Vision
What's New
- Introducing Card Vision — a fast, 10-second card word puzzle! You're dealt a hand of real playing cards; arrange, rotate, and overlap them so the pips on their faces line up to spell the hidden word before the clock runs out.
- Real cards, real pips: a 3 is an "I," an 8 is an "O," a 5 is an "X" — stack ranks together to build the rest of the letters.
- Simple touch controls: drag a card to move it, double-tap to rotate it, and long-press to tuck one underneath. Overlap hides pips — use it to your advantage.
- Four ways to play: switch between 3- and 4-letter words, or turn on Decoy, Mystery, and Memory modes for an extra challenge.
- Beat the 10-second clock: spell the whole word in time to level up.
- A guided DEMO with a pointing hand that walks you through building a word, step by step.
- Find it in the Smart Fox Brain Bites collection on the main menu.
Also in this update
- TriSum: the center SUM target now gently pulses so it's easier to spot.
- The "what's next" pop-up button now reads "Close" instead of "OK."
- Small fixes and polish.
4.5.9 Jul 6
What's New
- New: Watch-and-learn DEMOS for the SamZ Strategic Live games. Bridge & Wall Chess, Alphabet Wars, Roads & Walls, and Mirror Run each now have a "▶ DEMO" button on thei menu that opens a full-screen, auto-playing walkthrough with a pointing finger so you can see exactly how a turn is played.
- Clearer on-screen instructions: DominoFit 5, LaserLight Word, and SumStacks now show a quick "how to play" line right on the game screen.
- DominoFit 5 now uses the standard full-width START/RESET button, matching the rest of the collection.
- SumStacks polish: the number keypad is more compact so the CLEAR button is always visible, and the puzzle now stays centered on screen instead of drifting off to the side as it grows.
- Fixed: when you tap a "what's next" game link and an ad appears, closing the ad now takes you to the game you picked instead of dropping you back at the menu.
- Main menu tidy-up: the Logic collection now sits below Smart Fox Brain Bites.
- Small fixes and polish.
4..5.8 Jul 1
Version 4.5.7 — June 24, 2026
What's New
- Demos now exit cleanly: in LaserLight Word and Mirror Run+, tapping
START/RESET
during or after a demo properly ends the demo and starts a fresh real game — no more demo auto-playing over your game.
- The START/RESET button now returns to "START/RESET" whenever you open a demo (instead of staying stuck on the green "Playing..." label) — across every
game.
- AxisWords II now opens paused: the board is shown with START/RESET ready, and the timer doesn't start until you tap START/RESET.
- Small fixes and polish.
4.5.7 Jun 25
Version 4.5.6 — June 23, 2026
New Game: LaserLight Word
What's New
- Introducing LaserLight Word — a fast, 10-second tap-to-spell word puzzle!
A laser pointer sits at the top of a circle of scattered letters. Tap the letters in order to spell the word and watch the glowing laser beam connect them, checking automatically on your last tap.
- One puzzle a day: everyone gets the same word each day — come back tomorrow for a brand-new challenge.
- Beat the clock: solve before the 10-second timer runs out. The faster you solve, the more you score.
- Watch for decoys: repeated letters (including extra copies of the first letter) keep it tricky.
- Laser sound effects you can switch on or off.
- A guided - DEMO with a pointing finger that walks you through spelling a sample word, step by step.
- Small fixes and polish.
4.5.6 Jun 23
What's New in 4.5.5
• Automatic Dark Mode — turn on "Automatic" in Settings and the app now
follows your device, switching to dark automatically at night.
• Clearer instructions — DominoSum and DominoFit Light now spell out the steps
right on screen.
• Better guidance in PentaFlush — the deck flashes when it's time to deal, and
the hands pulse when it's time to flip, so you always know what to do next.
• Fairer Par 9 — the rings now keep spinning until you tap Start, so no
peeking at the solution early.
• Smarter "next game" suggestions and a few behind-the-scenes fixes.
Thanks for playing SamZ Puzzles — new puzzles every day!
4.5.5 Jun 23
Version 4.5.5 — June 15, 2026
What's New
- Tap to Start now surprises you: it opens DiskBreak Light the first time,

- Roads & Walls: a flashing "Your move — tap a blue cell!" prompt and a
pulsing home row now guide your first move — in both regular play and the
demo.
- X-Numbers: fixed the demo so the pointing finger lands right on the correct
node, with clear step-by-step "Select a node / Tap the number" guidance.
- Small fixes and polish.
4.5.4 Jun 16
Version 4.5.3 — June 14, 2026

- START/RESET now turns green and reads "Playing..." so you can tell a game is
active, and the "Try ___" next-game link flashes green when tapped.
- The "Try ___" suggestion now picks a random game each time — no repeats —
for a fresh tour of the collection.
- No more peeking: CatenaZ, Words in Shapes Light, ColorDigits, AxisWords, and
Not Quite now scramble their boards until you tap START.
- DominoSum, ColorDigits, DominoFit Light, and Not Quite are now true
once-a-day puzzles, with the timer starting only when you tap START/RESET.
- Star Pack stars no longer overlap, plus cleaner controls and a few small
fixes.
4.5.3 Jun 15
What's New in v4.5.2
This update makes the in-game DEMOs easier to follow and fixes saving in VoltsZ.
Clearer, guided demos
Tap ▶ DEMO in any of these games and you'll now see big, step-by-step prompts flash right on the board — perfectly in sync with the pointing finger — so it's obvious what to do:
• DominoSum — Select a domino → Tap its location → totals turn green
• DominoFit 5 & DominoFit Light — Tap Domino → Place Domino → Form Letter
• StackFit — Select shape → Stack Shapes → Solved
• Star Pack — Avoid the skull/red box → Select star → Rotate → Place star
• AxisWords — flashing diagonal arrows → Select 1st word → Select 2nd word → Solved
• TriSum — Take away the wrong numbers → Correct total
• AlphaSnap — Tap letter → Tap its number → Solved
• ColorDigits — Tap color → Tap digit → Solved
• Not Quite — Tap 1st difference → Tap 2nd difference → Solved
• Daily Wall — Memorize → Select color → Place color → Solved
• Daily Echo — Listen → Repeat the tune → Solved
• Decoy Dots — Memorize → Match the design → Solved
• Par 9 — Tee off → Next hole → You Win!
VoltsZ fixes
• Save & Exit now reliably brings your circuit back exactly where you left it — including a partly-typed word — even after fully closing the app.
• Added a "Try ColorDigits" shortcut to the What's next? menu.
Thanks for playing! More daily puzzles and polish on the way.
4.5.2 Jun 8
Version 4.5.1 — June 6, 2026
AlphaSnap & TriSum Go Daily, a Connected Game Tour, and Polish
AlphaSnap & TriSum are now daily puzzles
- Both games now follow the same once-a-day format as the rest of SamZ: a single tap on the START/RESET button plays today's puzzle, then it locks until tomorrow — no more endless replays. Cleaner bottom controls to match every other game.
A connected "next game" tour
- When you finish a puzzle, the "Try ___" suggestion now walks you through the whole collection in a smooth loop — DiskBreak Light → OddPawZ → True Circle
→ CatenaZ → Words in Shapes → Mirror Run → DominoSum → Star Pack → AxisWords
→ TriSum → AlphaSnap → Par 9 → Alpha PulleyZ → VoltsZ → JushBox — so there's always a natural next step.
Fixes & polish
- Mirror Run+: the full board now fits on screen.
- TriSum: the puzzle board is no longer covered by the bottom buttons.
- VoltsZ: the "Try JushBox" button now uses the same blue as every other next-game link.
4.5.1 Jun 7
Version 4.5.0 — June 5, 2026
A Fixed "Tap to Start" Button, Bolder Game Controls, and Save & Resume for VoltsZ
Tap to Start — always in reach
- The big blue start button on the home screen is now labeled "Tap to Start" and stays pinned to the bottom of the screen, so it's always one tap away no matter how far you scroll.
Bolder game controls
- START/RESET is now a large, full-width button on its own line at the bottom of every game — the main action is bigger and easier to hit, with Reveal/Hint, Sound, and Demo tucked neatly in the row above it.
- The control bar was tuned so it never crowds the puzzle above it.
VoltsZ — Save your progress
- Leaving VoltsZ mid-circuit? You'll now be asked whether to Save & Exit or Discard & Exit instead of losing your spot.
- Save & Exit keeps your circuit so you can come back and continue anytime today, right where you left off.
- When you finish — or step away — VoltsZ now points you to JushBox to keep the streak going.
Smaller touches
- Alpha PulleyZ's end-of-game prompt now points you to VoltsZ next.
4.5.0 Jun 6
Version 4.4.9 — June 4, 2026
Guided DEMO Walkthroughs, a Brighter Start, and Next Game Win or Lose
Step-by-step DEMO prompts
- Several ▶ DEMO walkthroughs now show big, bright on-screen prompts that call out each move the moment it happens:
• DiskBreak Light: "Memorize!" → "Slide the pieces" → "Solved!"
• True Circle: "Find Perfect Circle" → "Tap its number" → "Solved!"
• CatenaZ: "Find the path" → "Trace it down" → "Solved!"
• Mirror Run: "Study the board" → "Mirror it" → "Solved!"
• Words in Shapes Light:"Study Board" → "Find Word" → "Trace it" → "Solved!"
• Alpha PulleyZ: "Find Word" → "Trace rope" → "Tap" → "Solved!"
- The animated finger now points right at what matters as each prompt appears — the weights, the rope, the figure, or the answer.
- The Words in Shapes Light demo no longer shows the red "Clear" button while it's running.
Next game on every result
- When a game ends — whether you solve it or run out of time — you'll now get the "next game" prompt so you can keep going. On a miss it simply says "Moving to the next game."
Easier to get started
- New here? A big blue "Click to Start" button on the home screen now jumps you straight into a quick DiskBreak puzzle.
Cleaner, bolder controls
- The START/RESET button is now blue and a little taller in every game, so the main action is easier to spot at a glance.
Smaller touches
- CatenaZ's end-of-game prompt now points you to Mirror Run.
4.4.9 Jun 5
Version 4.4.8 — June 1, 2026
New Demos for OddPawZ & True Circle, Plus Demo Fixes and a CatenaZ BOOM!
Two new - DEMO walkthroughs
- OddPawZ now has a DEMO: tap the yellow - DEMO button and watch an animated finger glide to the hidden puppy and tap it, celebrate, then hand the board back to you for real play.
- True Circle now has a DEMO too: the finger slides down to the correct answer button (1–4) and taps it, revealing the true circle — so first-timers can see exactly how to answer.
- Neither demo affects your stats, score, or streak. Tap DEMO as many times as you like; tapping the board or START/RESET ends it and restores a fresh puzzle.
WaterTable demo fix
- The demo finger no longer flies off to the top-left corner when picking up a piece. It now stays on the pieces and glides smoothly from one to the next, every time.
PentaFlush demo now shows the DEAL tap
- The demo pauses on the deck so you can clearly see the finger tap "TAP" to deal and tap "DEAL" to advance to the next round — the full loop, at a pace you can follow.
CatenaZ — BOOM! on blocked cells
- Tap a neighbor that's walled off from your chain? A bold "BOOM!" now pops right on that cell, just like CatenaZ+.
- It only fires on genuinely blocked (adjacent-but-walled) taps — tapping far-away cells stays quiet.
4.4.8 Jun 2
What's New in v4.4.7
Interactive Demos for Every Game
Tap the new DEMO button to watch a guided, slowed-down walkthrough with an animated hand pointer that shows you exactly how to play — sliding pieces, tapping letters, tracing routes, and more.
Cleaner Game Layout
The game controls (Start/Reset, Hint, Sound, Demo) now sit neatly at the bottom of the screen for a more comfortable one-handed feel.
Discover Your Next Puzzle
Finish a puzzle and you'll see a quick link to try a related game next — an easy way to explore everything Sam's Games has to offer.
Polish & Improvements
• More accurate, better-sized demo hand pointers
• Clearer column guide lines in DominoSum
• Smarter demo puzzles that better show how each game works
• Various visual tweaks and fixes throughout
Thanks for playing! New puzzles every day.
4.4.7 Jun 1
ATT prompt now appears reliably on fresh install. Video attached shows launch ATT prompt → user flow after selection.
Version 4.4.6 — May 25, 2026
Alpha PulleyZ Gets Two Tiny Pullers + Polish Across Archive Screens
Alpha PulleyZ — meet the pullers
- Two little human figures now stand at each rope end, hands gripping the ring, ready to yank. Tap a rope and your puller dips down with the tug — it's no longer a disembodied ring magically pulling itself.
- Ropes were shortened just enough to give the pullers room to stand without crowding the board.
Cleaner "No Archive" screens for one-try-only games
- The archive screens for CatenaZ, Par 9, Alpha PulleyZ, AxisWords, and OddPawZ now show the correct "one-try-only" copy with proper colored icons matching each game's identity.
- Previously these screens were stuck on an older, generic "quick 10-second game" message — they now read clearly and match the rest of the app.
Behind the scenes
- Cleaned up a batch of compiler warnings and a small handful of unreachable code paths. No behavior change, just a tidier build.
4.4.6 May 27
Version 4.4.4 — May 22, 2026
DiskBreak+ Demo & Consistent DEMO Buttons
DiskBreak+ now has a DEMO walkthrough
- Tap the new yellow ▶ DEMO button to watch a sample puzzle break and snap
itself back together — perfect for first-time players who'd rather see it done
than read the instructions.
- The demo uses a fixed sample puzzle (same every day), runs a simplified
Level 1 break regardless of today's level, and restores your real daily puzzle
when it's done.
- Watching the demo does NOT mark today's DiskBreak+ as played. Tap DEMO as
many times as you like.
DEMO buttons across the app now share one color
- Every DEMO button in the Swift menu — DiskBreak+, CatenaZ+, DominoFit,
JushBox, GolfBox, AlphaPulleyZ, WaterTable, WordStairZ, WordInShapes,
XNumbers, AtomicNails, MirrorRunBig, AxisWords2, and Roads & Walls — is now
the same yellow.
- Previously some were orange, some lighter orange, others gray. Now DEMO
always means the same yellow pill, no matter which game you're in.
4.4.4 May 23
Version 4.4.3 — May 18, 2026
Alpha PulleyZ — Now a Daily Puzzle
One puzzle a day for everyone
- Today's puzzle is today's puzzle. The same word, the same letter layout, the same rope routing, no matter how many times you tap START. A fresh one drops at midnight (local time).
- The daily lock now survives app restarts. Once you've finished today's round — win or lose — you're done until tomorrow. Exiting before pulling is still free.
Randomized rope lengths per day
- Which PULL handle hangs long and which hangs short is now picked per day. No more "the right ring is always low" muscle-memory shortcut — the layout shifts daily, so you have to actually trace the ropes.
Already-Played reminder on re-entry
- Come back to Alpha PulleyZ later today? You'll see your result again with an "Already Played Today" popup — your word, your time, and a one-tap shortcut to try CatenaZ next.
DEMO is now the same every time
- The tutorial puzzle is fixed, so first-time players learn against a consistent example. DEMO also now flashes the answer bells GREEN at the end, matching the real-game feedback — you see the same color language a real win uses.
4.4.3 May 19
Version 4.4.2 — May 17, 2026
NEW GAME: Alpha PulleyZ — a 10-second pulley puzzle
Six lettered bells hang from a row of pulleys. Two ropes weave through them — one rope's letters spell a real 3 or 4 letter word, the other's don't. Trace each rope from its PULL a handle, figure out which one spells the word, the right one before time runs out.
What's in it
- 6 pulleys, 2 ropes, 1 hidden answer per round
- The answer rope is randomized every puzzle — no two plays feel the same
- Both ropes look identical so you can't shortcut it by appearance
- Bells flash green when you nail it, red when you don't
- DEMO mode walks you through your first round
- REVEAL/HINT button briefly highlights the answer rope if you're stuck
- Squeaky-pulley sound effects (toggleable)
- Penalty counter tracks misses across plays
Find Alpha PulleyZ in the 10-Second Puzzles section on the main menu.
Solve fast. Pull smart.
4.4.2 May 18
Version 4.4.1
CatenaZ+ updates
• New milestone badges right above the scoreboard — see your 500 / 2,000 / 5,000-cell progress at a glance. Each badge lights up gold the moment you cross its threshold.
• Added a new "Worst" column to the stats bar that remembers your highestwrong-move count across all runs, alongside your live "Wrong" counter.
4.4.1 May 11
Version 4.4.0 — May 8, 2026
CatenaZ+ Polish — Better Feedback, Better Vibes
Encouragement banners every 50 cells
- A pulsing "Great job — keep going!" toast pops at the top each time your chain reaches the next 50-cell mark (50, 100, 150, 200, ... ).
- The message rotates and tracks how close you are: when the next reward is within 100 cells, it switches to "So close! 75 cells to the next award." Past 5,000, the copy turns into pure cheerleading.
- Lasts 3 seconds, gently pulses while visible, then fades out so it never gets in your way.
Red flash on bad gap taps
- Tap an adjacent cell whose gap doesn't line up with your head? The cell now flashes red instead of going silent — you can see exactly which move the rules rejected.
- The flash respects the rules: only adjacent-but-not-connected taps light up red. Non-adjacent or random taps stay quiet.
Exit Game confirmation
- The Back button in CatenaZ+ now asks before leaving a live run: "Are you sure? You may lose your progress if you exit." Matches the Roads & Walls behavior so you can't accidentally tank a long chain.
4.4.0 May 10
Version 4.3.9 — May 7, 2026
New Game: CatenaZ+
The endless variant of CatenaZ. No timer, no daily puzzle — just trace the chain as long as you can. The board scrolls up as you advance, and your peak chain length is your record.
Where to find it
- Live in the LOGIC section, right under JushBox.
How it plays
- Tap any circle in the top row to start the chain. Then keep going — every connected circle is +1 to your score.
- Two circles connect only when both have a gap facing each other. Read the gaps carefully.
- Stepped into a dead-end? Tap your last-selected circle to backtrack one cell at a time. Each undo bumps the Wrong counter — that's your tally for this
run, not a fail.
- The view follows you both ways: the board scrolls up as you push forward, and scrolls back when you retreat so prior cells stay reachable.
DEMO
- A new DEMO button (rightmost on the toolbar) plays the first 10 moves of the canonical chain so you can see how the path is meant to flow before you take over.
Milestone Rewards
- Hit 500 cells to unlock your first reward. 2,000 cells = an incredible badge. 5,000 cells = the legendary EPIC reward. Each milestone is once-per-player — make every chain count.
10-Second CatenaZ now points to CatenaZ+
- The "Game Complete" popup at the end of the daily 10-second puzzle now offers "Try CatenaZ+" instead of Roads & Walls.
4.3.9 May 8
Version 4.3.8 — May 4, 2026
Main Menu Polish
Cleaner card text and consistent level colors on the home screen.
VoltsZ card
- Fixed truncated description on the VoltsZ card. "The Daily Word Survival Puzzle" and "7 words. 4 guesses, then 3. One mistake ends it." now wrap to multiple lines instead cutting off with "…".
WaterTable level color
- The Level 1/2/3 dot on the WaterTable card now uses the same color scheme as every other game: Level 1 is green, Level 2 yellow, Level 3 red. Previously it always showed gray because the level was being looked up off-by-one.
4.3.8 May 5
Version 4.6.3 — July 13, 2026
