In this version, to make your transfers more secure you'll now be able to confirm the names of the recipients you're transferring money to after entering the IBAN in the form. We have also made a number of improvements and continue to listen to your comments in order to improve your experience on the Santander App. Update your app so you don't miss out on any of the new features we've prepared for you! Santander Portugal needs major overhaul
The settings available on this app are very basic—a design showing its age of 4+ years. All other apps have been modernized to include notifications, contacts, etc.
More importantly, two factor authentication using SMS is not reliable outside Portugal. Other banking apps use QR codes and auto-generated security codes that are extremely reliable. One example is the Santander do Brasil app. No need to go any further, just copy their app!

Coming soon??
Many sections from the previous app indicate “coming soon.” Not very useful! My favorites have disappeared, yet the app says one already exists when I try to re-add. IBAN numbers must be entered manually vice copied; a recipe for error. Non-PT favorites are no longer possible. Terrible excuse for an app. Big fail Santander PT
