At least customer service messages you right away

Sapphire worked only slightly better than the free WiFi provided by location. For the quality of internet that Sapphire provides, it’s WAAAY too expensive. Perhaps Sapphire’s internet access is better in other areas; hence 3 stars. I had continuous connection problems at my location. Several times there were outages.
However, their customer service response, and want to help is on par. The price should drop the stars down to one star rating.
- Internet Quality... eh... can only judge off one country.
- Cost... terrible
- Customer service... clearly doing their best

Current date of me writing this August 13th,2020. First off if you are in Kuwait DO NOT BUY THIS. Wait until you go to Afghanistan, once you’re there find a PX and purchase it there. Some people make the huge mistake of buying it in Kuwait and the device not working in Afghanistan. I’m in Jalalabad and I’ve seen 4 of my guys purchase this in Kuwait when the first got over here in March, which it worked great in Kuwait but not in Afghanistan. The reason for that is the Sapphire stores in Kuwait program them for Kuwait and not Afghanistan meaning the cell service which converts the 4G to WiFi is different. Both the touch screen puck and the black puck work fine in Afghanistan and for the most part is much better than local WiFi. Though the devices are expensive, the WiFi is much faster than travel WiFi, DHI, etc. Another option you should look into is getting a ROSHAN SIM card. But only if you have an unlocked phone that isn’t tethered to a carrier. Those work really well out here too. Hope this helps!!

WiFi

I bought this because it was the only thing available in the area. I needed service and I needed connection. The desire for either aside I had a genuine need. Being unable to pay important bills while on travel and checking on family with medical needs is a terrifying thing, so I paid what most would think too expensive and bought the device and a plan. Spending almost 200 dollars I figured, you get what you pay for.
I have heard the excuses and to some it may make sense, when so many people are the same area using the same type of device or the same satellite it will be “slow”. When I have to watch as my phone continues to say no service, and my family believes that I have just stopped talking to them, or when companies believe I am avoiding them and my obligations, then I have to say:
“What am I paying for?” Because it’s not service and why tell someone you can give them what you can’t if there’s a limit to how many people per region that can have service at a time. Stop selling the device or your “service” if you aren’t going to serve.
