Ratings and Reviews
Needs some updates
The initial reviews are very, very thorough and the recommended exercises for body work are great!
However there are some glitches I’d love to have addressed. It keeps recommending exercises with tools I don’t have. For instance I’m supposed to do a stability ball bridge twist, and the tools listed as necessary for that exercise are “none.” But you clearly need a stability ball! Which I don’t have. This happens a lot.
Invaluable app for amateur runners!
For runners who don’t have a running coach, this is one of the most important apps you can have. It analyzes aspects of your posture, stride, and most importantly, aches and pains. Using this info, it customizes side work you can do in addition to your run that will make you much less prone to injury as well as help you recover quickly should an injury get you. During my marathon training last year, I occasionally experienced hamstring and fascia troubles, and the exercises this app recommended helped me recover and strengthen so that by the time of my marathon I had been injury free for several months. Great App, Great Advice!
Although the initial assessment takes some time, it is time well spent for the great advice you will get from this App! The assessment allows the App to completely personalize running drills, form work and strengthening exercises specifically catered to your unique weaknesses. The work given is easy to follow and does not take much time, but adding it to your daily routine makes a huge difference in the quality of your running. I have loved making the Stride Lab part of my workout routine.
