This is a simple, fantastic app that reads text aloud. The best part is a awesome feature most people will miss. In the help section of the app it explains its URL scheme. It’s a special URL that will automatically open the app but you can add anything you want to that url! For example, an article you want to hear and not read...use the Shortcuts App to get the web page text then automatically pass it via the URL scheme to this app and voila! No monthly premium charge!

As a writer, I really like this app for reading text. Great for the editing process to get a sound of the work in a different (and more flat) voice. It’s easy to use, can be used with a variety of writing platforms (I’ve been using it with Bear and Word). I can’t believe it is free!
