Hoped for so much more.

Thankfully a lot of bugs have been fixed, but of course as soon as I purchased a book, it freaked out in the middle of listening to it. I opened the app back up after it abruptly closed itself, and it started playing something I never had. Also it is saying I don’t have the book I purchased, so I sent an email explaining I didn’t want a refund or anything like that. I made sure to attach a picture of my emailed copy of the receipt. I just wanted my book back. I immediately got a reply that said it would take up to three business days for a reply. So if you purchase a title, just know this is a possibility unfortunately.

Surprisingly good!

I got this app so it was (hopefully) a little easier to listen to the new Epithet Erased audiobook because it was released exclusively on Sound Booth Theater Direct. I originally purchased the book on their website, and didn't realize there was an official app for the first few chapters because it wasn't linked anywhere on SBTD's website for some reason. When I finally found the app, ngl, it looked kinda sketchy seeing as it only had 6 reviews and 3 stars at the time. But, I figured it was worth a shot cause it wasn't the most convenient having to repeatedly reopen the same google tab on my phone.
I haven't had any problems with the app so far even after listening to the full 10 hours of the book. It seemed to sync what spot I was on between my phone and iPad most of the time, and although it doesn't show which episodes you've downloaded at a glance, the download function does seem to work when I needed to listen while offline.
Despite my initial suspicions, the app seemed to work fairly well. And although a few little updates that help with some quality of life and general bug fixes wouldn't hurt, it did what it needed without any major problems! Keep up the awesome work, and thanks for a decent mobile app!

Great content

I’m giving this a five star review based solely on the content which I’m enjoying it immensely.

The app needs work as other reviews of noted It does crash a lot. The crashes can be particularly challenging if you’re new to the app and are driving.
Overall, I do like the format of the app and the free Contant… some of the paid content is purchased chapter by chapter so that can be challenging to get to the next piece while driving, so this is one area where the navigation of the app can improve.
Overall, I do like the concept of piecemeal purchases that way if you don’t like the book you can quit however, I tend to stick with things so if there was an option to “purchase all” or subscribe for ongoing works that would be great.
