Support for Major, Minor, Melodic Minor, Melodic Major, Whole Tone, Pentatonic Major, Hexatonic Blues (you might call it "Pentatonic Blues", or just "Blues", but there are six notes, so it's "Hexatonic"), Pentatonic Minor, major modes like Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Locrian. Exotic scales like Egyptian, Persian, Hirajoshi, and more.

Many of ScaleBank's features are free but, for just $4.49 per month, a ScaleBank All Access subscription provides full access to all scales, patterns, and drills, plus full access to thousands of expert-curated chords in ChordBank, plus full access to TabBank, where you can build your own personal library of editable, printable guitar tabs.

If you decide to purchase a subscription to ScaleBank All Access, an initial payment will be charged to your iTunes account. Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of each subscription period, at a rate of $4.49 per month.

You can turn off auto-renewal at any time via your iTunes Account Settings.

Great app!

Simply put, It’s a great app. Not only allows you to practice scales in any position on the neck, but allows you to visually see alternate scales which fit over your compositions. This app is extremely helpful to find triads and have you thinking out of the box for soloing and riffing. Where it shines for me is coming up with interesting chord progressions that wildly depart from anything my thinking brain could imagine or muscle memory could auto find.
The free version is outstanding but the $2.99 upgrade really makes this app shine. It’s a simple to use creation tool that far exceeds its design usage of a jam along scale instructor. If you are a visual thinker like me, it can open new worlds. Give it a go.

Great App! Poor “App Support” for How-to!

It is a very well-made app and extremely useful. However, I had to take off a full star because of a very sketchy website instructions. If you click on to write a review you get an option to see app support. The App Support page is very very basic and leaves unanswered questions. The Q&A page is a joke; it does not ask questions relevant to the app. I could come up with quite a number of useful questions that would actually pertain to questions that users may find unclear. Furthermore, this app support could be drastically improved by adding how to videos for each feature. I am convinced they would sell many more premium Versions if they simply took a little time to make their app support site much more useful.

New go-to app

I hesitated to spend $2 on the premium version but thought to myself, why not, it’s only $2. now that i have it i would easily buy it again for $100. i’m gonna say that one again. i would wholeheartedly be willing to spend $100 on this app if i ever needed to buy it again. this app completely blew my expectations out of the water. everything i need to refer to for notes, scales, modes, and everything in between is found in this app. 15/10 rating. i want to marry the person who made this thing but i am already humbled and intimidated by their intelligence.
