Well, after spending about two or three hours this afternoon, trying to scan some documents, my passport, my temporary resident permit to live in Mexico, and then the appropriate customs forms that needed to be done. They needed to be scanned and then converted to a PDF file and then sent to the appropriate authorities, so you can imagine I’m 76 years old most of my career I always had a secretary do everything so this was challenging for me and I had another scanning app that just never seemed to work and somehow someway this one popped up and asked me to download it and I didand instantly I was able to figure it out and it worked. I am so happy that this is really a program that is very close to scanning for dummies. It’s it’s remarkable by very very pleased with it and can’t say enough about it. I feel quite pleased with myself, but I know it has to do with the app that I found so I’m not gonna get too carried away.

I downloaded this app just because of an advertisement on FB. You know, at fist I was skeptical about all this FREE trial thing, but this scanner saved me several times when I was on a trip and need to scan and sign documents asap. Cannot believe I did not use this app before. It’s easy, convenient and I would definitely recommend it. You can scan in b&w, color, add stamps and other things. Great job developer. There were some troubles when uploading large pdf files, but apparently they fixed it.I haven’t used other scanners, but truly don’t need them. It must be the best of its type around.The one thing I wish were different is the cost obviously, but I understand business is not a charity. Developers need money to keep all this stuff live.Seen a lot of reviews with scam complaint. Well, people you’re in 2020, you should READ carefully what you are signing for. Besides, you can cancel free trial right away (ask google how).For example, my friend use it’s free version and totally okay with the limitations. I think it’s great when you have an option to pay or not to pay.

I love the App, i have a few qualms that I wanted to fix: one is that converting image to text takes a long time and two when I grab The documents I have to size it out from the 4 corners rather then have an option in the middle of the corners for the horizontal/vertical sizes. That could be a little faster just to have another vertical/horizontal bar. But otherwise you won’t find a better one on the market for the price, so i guess I’m happy, but not 100% elated yet. I hate paying so much for apps now and at least I have a lifetime subscription so that is nice, so I’m not crying every month like some.Question to the developer:I also was wondering if the text that we capture could be enhanced? Such as making books in dim lighting lighter?I though that was included but I couldn’t figure out how to make that happen? And drag and drop files would be nice too.

TLDR: more expensive and not as good as other apps dedicated to handwriting to text. Manipulative pushy-feeling customer experience for someone just wanting to try out the features quickly left a bad tast in my mouth.What I didn’t like: took a picture of a rather messy handwritten note. Had it translate it. This was the third program I tried with this, and the conversion was by far the worst. Text was split up into way to many lines. Lots of errors. What a REALLY didn’t like: the mercenary nature of the pressure to give them money. This “free” version was the most limited of all the three options I tried and the most expensive. I had to sign up for the premium version just to try out the handwritten to text conversation capabilities. Yes, there is a 7 day free trial. And yes, I know the point of that is so I forget to UN-sign up for that and you get some money. That’s ruthless. That is why I’m taking the time to leave a bad review, along with your pestering me for a review and repeatedly trying to get me to sign up for your paid service before I had a chance to test out the product. Your customer experience starts off leaving a bad taste I my mouth. Can’t speak to the other scanning features because that’s not what I was interested in, but you came up third or something when I searched for handwriting to text, so you should expect that type of customer.

I purchased the year subscription so that option didn’t give me the week trial option but I said if it does at least one of the two popular features it’s worth it well guess what it doesn’t do either I tried every which way possible I tried converting a pdf to word to edit and it is so distorted that it doesn’t come out correctly it or it says error and the same for the handwrite to text option and I printed with a black pen on a sticky note like in ad and it wouldn’t convert I tried just a few words on a letter size paper nothing kept saying error now I have the latest iPhone 15 with the latest version iOS to date and it still not working and I canceled my subscription the same day I purchased hoping to refund my year price I paid bc it’s horrible I can do everything already on my one drive and my google drive and I don’t need to do those features already for a price that’s free thru them. Any suggestions?

I’ve gone through 3 printers now trying to get them to scan and email my basic paperwork. Something always goes wrong with either the net work, the software, or hardware, and I can’t get what I want achieved. I get so frustrated! After spending so much money on these printers. What a blessing this app has been! It is so convenient to be able to simply take a picture of a paper I received in the mail, for example, turn it into a PDF document and email, text, or just save it to my files on my phone. This app is definitely amazing and saves me so much time, money, and headaches!

I downloaded this app because I saw an advertisement, great marketing, that stated it would change your documents into a word doc or a PDF after scanning and I thought this to be a useful component for a scanner because sometimes you may need to make a change or two, and you don’t want to use Adobe. So I downloaded the app. I almost decided to pay for it out right, however, Holy Spirit said wait and see, so I waited and sure enough there was a problem. The first pages of the documents that I scanned were all ORANGE. Yes, I was able to go back in and change the color however, who wants to do that. I am a scan and go kind of girl. So for that, it gets, only 2 stars and as a result, I am deleting the app. I’ll stick with the one that I already have on my device.

Convert to text *sounds* useful, but unless you just want a hand written paragraph or something equally as linear converted, this app is useless. It cannot decipher or format notes in the margin, columns, or simple tables. Your notes will just look like a jumble of text—nothing where it should be. If you want a GREAT scanning app that is much more sophisticated in its usefulness, AND IS FREE, check out Genius Scan… I’ve been using it for years.To the developers—your app is stupidly overpriced for the lack of sophistication it offers, figure out the formatting/layout issue before you start charging for this app—A SUBSCRIPTION no less! This isn’t worth 6.99 even for a one-time cost! If you’re honest with yourselves, you already know that.

I used this once, to translate handwriting into text (which is advertised as a solid capability), and (although my handwriting is complemented by coworkers as very legible) the translation into text was a page of random letters and symbols. There were no complete words to edit (and I just had to retype completely). It was very clear that the advertised ability I needed was not there, and I immediately cancelled it. I remember that the cancellation process asked me WHY, and I gave a detailed explanation, and did the appropriate cancellation process. Including double verification, in case I wasn’t sure. Then, I deleted it. This review is because I FOUND THE SUBSCRIPTION WAS NOT CANCELLED AND I WAS BILLED AGAIN.If you try this, be careful!
