Ratings and Reviews
A very basic interface lacking needed features such as calendar support (for due dates, etc), push notifications, PassBook (apps that display barcodes internally are less convenient than library cards), TouchID (for persistent login), iPhone 6 screen resolution support and it needs better GPS privacy, the app does not need my location when I am not using it.
The app doesn't really have any features to recommend it over the main website.
Accounts broken: can’t use it to place holds
Why would you want a mobile app for your local library? To place holds on items when you’re away from your computer! What feature is completely broken from the outset? The ability to link the app to your library card. It gives me an error page.
Yes, you can search the catalog and library hours, but that can be done at the webpage through a browser app just as easily. Just bookmark the webpage and save space on your device.
One of the worst designed library apps I have used
This app is too slow, has poorly-designed behavior (why would you need my location data if I'm only asking for the hours at a specific library for example) and seems to not have anyone actively working on the app (never any updates as far as I can see). Avoid this - just use the web site associated with your local library system.
