Description

This telepathy test is inspired by the cult 1967 TV series The Prisoner. In the episode entitled "The Schizoid Man," actor Patrick McGoohan uses a special deck of symbol cards to test Extra Sensory Perception. That deck is similar but not identical to the Zener cards made famous by parapsychologist J.B. Rhine in the 1930s. The photographs of sculpted faces are from Portmeirion, Wales, the shooting location for The Prisoner.

Our selection process for the cards is designed to mirror a physical deck. Five of each symbol (a total of 25 cards) are mixed just as if they had been shuffled by hand and are revealed in turn to guarantee an even distribution. The virtual "deck" is re-shuffled after 25 rounds.
