Useful and can have more!
This is definitely a useful app. I was able to connect to my new 170 without any trouble. It also connects to apple health easily. The app, however, does have a few aspects to improve, as pointed out by others. It can and should sync more data with apple health. For example, I can’t understand why the walking + running distance is not synced even though it is there in the app. Maybe it should be a better category? Because riding on 170 is not exactly walking or running. Heart rate is another example. It would also be nice to support multiple users, though I would image this will require more work on the software design part. Supporting iPhone X screen will make it more friendly too.

Hello xiao ningchuan and thank you very much for your review, feedback, and suggestions! I'm passing all of this information along to our App Team. I've seen several reviews mention the Apple Health Kit integration and I'd definitely love to see that improved for everyone.
I always encourage customers to double-up on app suggestions and feedback by navigating to their app Settings and then using the "Send us an email option". These requests and suggestions are tracked in order to make future improvements to the app.
That all being said, thanks for being a customer and have a great 2019! - Clayton, Schwinn Team
Desperately Needing Updates and Fixes
The app technically works, but not in a particularly useful way.
I was excited to see this app connects to the Apple Health app, but it only sends over “Active Energy” as opposed to contributing to the “Active Calories” data feeding into the Apple Watch.
*This means your workouts WILL NOT contribute to your Move ring if you have an Apple Watch!*
This is quite a shortcoming. It also does not send over heart rate data, which I can see no reason for since it is tracking that data as well.
Another issue is that the app has not been updated to fit an iPhone X/XS/XR screen. This makes the app feel extremely antiquated and lacking the attention it needs. If something that simple hasn’t been updated in over a year, I don’t have confidence the more technical issues will be fixed anytime soon.
An update to this app using the Apple Watch API would make it much more useful than it is. Even small things like the workouts showing up on my phone as “Elliptical” when I’m using a bike is an issue. Clearly needs a lot of work and I don’t feel confident it will improve any time soon.
My Schwinn 170 is a fantastic bike, but I will not be using its over-promising app unfortunately.

Hello gregalawnjee, thank you very much for your review and feedback about the app! I do know there are multiple updates in the works regarding several Apple-specific features right now, but just in general I went ahead and forwarded the issues and ideas to our App Team to make sure they have visibility on things.
If you wish to add to this or have additional difficulties or suggestions, please do feel free to pull up the app, navigate to the Settings, and then use the "Send us an email" option. That goes directly to our App Team and we do appreciate heads up about issues and we do track customer requests in order to make future app improvements and updates.
That all aside, though, thank you very much for being a customer and happy holidays! - Clayton, Bowflex Team
I like the app while it’s working. It gets to a certain number of workouts and it stops syncing. You can “forget device” and download all of your workouts including the last one. Not sure how long you can do that because I got tired of doing so, deleted everything, and started over. Noticed the time is wrong in the app. It’s about 20 minutes fast. Might be a clue but support never found a solution.
Can’t send an email through the app. I’ve deleted the Mail app and it will stay deleted. Is there another way? Also, I don’t have the step-by-step instructions for starting over any more. The wife is now in that same predicament.

Hello again crab25241! Our apps use the default email app on your phone or tablet to send information to us. I would recommend sending us app support requests directly from within the app so we have as much info as possible. With that in mind, I would recommend sorting out the email app situation on your phone or tablet first if at all possible.
If you're stuck there, though, you can also email our app people directly at APPSUPPORT@NAUTILUS.COM using a computer or such. When doing so, I'd make sure to include information on your machine, app, phone/tablet, and as much other information on the issues as possible. - Clayton, Bowflex Team
