Screen Recorder by Omi 4+

I am a virtual teacher, and I need to screen record to teach my students. This app lets me record my whole screen, and it makes it look big like a monitor. The audio quality is very good, and when you type on the keyboard, it is very satisfying listening to it. Also, for me, whenever I need to pause the video and leave the screen, it stays on the screen and doesn't turn off. Whenever you need to record your screen, it is always in the top right corner, ready for you to record. I also love the fact that it is free, simple, and easy to operate. I definitely recommend this app!

I was a Capto user for years and lately started having issues with it recognizing that "Screen Recording" was allowed. I went through their support which was responsive but sadly they were unable to make it work. I stumbled onto this App and I am super glad that I did. It doesn't have some of the bells and whistles that Capto has in terms of editing and layering after creating the video but those are rarely used anyway. Additionally, this app is free. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a straight forward screen recorder that can record anything and JUST WORKS! Great job!!

I'm going to start with the good things about this app. It is very user-friendly, simple, and straightforward to use. It is an excellent solution for working with internal audio. But after using the app for a bit I discovered a few significant problems.

1. While watching back recordings it seemed a little fuzzy and not fully clear like when you record on QuickTime. When it's side by side you can tell the difference.

2. Sometimes the recording would not save. It used to be 50/50 when I clicked the stop recording button, no file would come up or trace what I recorded. This can get annoying and most commonly happened with recordings over 15 minutes. Again I know I recorded properly, just no file showed up. I checked the Omni and video folders nothing there.

3. One final issue the audio driver would sometimes not work. When recording and having all of the audio settings correct the internal audio from the driver would not work. I do not know why but this happened quite frequently.

Other than those issues I like this app a lot and would recommend.
