Screenshots

Description

Screenshot Grab makes taking screenshots of individual apps, windows and the entire desktop quick and easy.

When Screenshot Grab is launched it grabs images of all the apps and their windows currently on the desktop, including a snapshot of the entire desktop.

The screenshots appear listed with their icons in the order in which they appeared onscreen. Even if an app is obscured by another window Screenshot Grab is able to take an un-obscured screenshot.

It is possible to perform a re-grab by clicking the Grab Now button or by pressing the global hotkey combination: alt+cmd+g. You can use this hotkey even when when Screenshot Grab is not the active application.

It is possible to perform a timed grab (global hotkey combination shift+alt+cmd+g), which will grab all the apps after a configurable countdown period. The countdown is spoken (optionally) to you and displayed in the application's dock icon so you know exactly how much time you have left before the screenshots are taken.

An individual snapshot can be saved to a file as either a png, jpg, bmp or tif image by clicking the Save As… button (cmd+s). The file extension specified will determine the image type. Alternatively, all the snapshots can be saved to a folder (shift+cmd+s). It's also possible to copy the currently selected screenshot to the clipboard (cmd+c) so you can quickly paste it into another application. Or if you prefer you can drag and drop the screenshot to Finder or your favourite graphics app.

The last item in the list of screenshots is always the entire desktop. For those with dual displays, the arrangement of the displays in System Preferences will determine the layout of the Entire desktop image.

Screenshot Grab's preferences include:

* Default image type (for Save All To… and Copy functionality): png, jpg, bmp or tif
* JPG quality %
* Countdown duration for timed grab: 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds
* Optionally speak countdown for timed grabs
* Optionally display mouse cursor for Entire Desktop item
* Optionally hide window framing (gets rid of shadows and borders around windows)

For any support issues or questions please contact us by email via our website so that we can respond directly to you. Please email us should you find Screenshot Grab is missing any features.

Um… missing crosshair selection

Good ap, EXCEPT, sometimes too much.

This should have a crosshair selection, where a user can click, drag, release, and the shape drawn (rectangle, square, etc.. basic x/y) is captured. This is just all/nothing and good- but not great.

Love It!!!

I rated this app before but didn’t say what i like about it. Everyone knows that screenshot apps can be disappointing but this is the first one that hasn’t been challenging or that didn’t work for me. I love the fact that you can choose what type of file extension oyu’d like to save your image under (png/jpeg/etc.) The resolution is absolutely amazing! When ever I pay bills, I screenshot my confirmation number or proof of payment just in case the company doesn’t send a confirmation email. All the other uses are numerous. I highly recommend this app and so far I’ve had no issues with it at all. To the makers/creators, Thanks!

It’s “okay"

It is good for snapping hi-resolution screen .png’s……it becomes a bit unruly if you try to do several screens at a time, especially after upgrading to Yosemite. I’d like to see a crop function and a .jpeg format…….also if you have your browser open to full screen you can’t use the app.

Serves the purpose with a little bit of after catpure editing…..it just could be better.
