This app has completely changed my content for the better! I truely do love the app. All thought i have to open it up and close it a few times to get the best quality, there arent much negative things to say about it. Some things that could improve are more built in piano sounds and maybe some more note customization.This app is a solid 4 star for me. Im not sure how creators such as Rousseau or Kassia get their videos to look so good, but this will make you right under them. Great app and would reccomend to ANYONE!

I’d already had a very similar app but it could only visualize midi from (pre-recorded) MIDI files. It wasn’t obvious but this software is equally adept as a realtime visualization of a MIDI stream. Unfortunately you can only choose one MIDI input source at a time, it seems, but that won’t be a dealbreaker for most people. I’m hoping I can find a transparency mode like the other similar software I have. TONS of bells and whistles. UI a bit overwhelming at times but eventually when you figure out why things are a certain way it follows a good logic and shows ‘tooltips’ in the bottom right corner .

I understand this is probably targeted at content creators and not teachers so I get the price. I personally use it for my students to just add a level of fun during lessons. I don’t know if I can justify the price per month. I’d also like a bit more in terms of playback options. I’m looking for a solid alternative to Synthesia. If there were options like other midi sound fonts, and “wait for play” I’d easily jump on this and could see recommending it to other teachers!

So, this software produces beautiful results. Drop in a midi file and it syncs with a wave file. Hook up a camera, and it will record everything. Does the job. However, the interface for this software is not intuitive at all. It feels like something out of the 90's. If it had a modern, intuitive interface it would easily get 5 stars from me.
