GET INTO HABIT OF WORKING IN TIME BLOCK
Inspired by Pomodoro technique, Session helps you block your time for focus. 25 minutes or 45 minutes is all you need to get closer to your goal

Session will automatically mute Slack team you choose when Session has started and open them up again when Session has stopped working.

DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A REST
Forcing yourself to work on long period of time is ineffective. Rest is as important as work / study. Why? Because rest is a crucial time where you:
- store what you have learned in your head, and where
- your brain solve difficult problem on the background.
Notice that you usually get a new idea and solves problem when you're on walk and shower. Or anywhere where you're away from "work".

AUTOMATE YOUR WORKFLOW (AUTOMATIC DO NOT DISTURB, PLAY MUSIC)

Imagine having no distracting notifications while working on. It's possible by turning on Do Not Disturb. What if you can turn it on when you started your Session, and disable it after Session ends—all automatically? Or maybe change bulb color, play Apple music when Session has started? Different playlist on break? It's possible with Session.

Great Pomo App

Edit: I’ve been using it for a while now, and the updates, discord server, live actions + shortcut capabilities make this app exceptional to use! Admittedly I haven’t been using it long, but this is a great app! The UI is sleek and very easy to use. The intention and the categorization capabilities are nice, and the free tier has basically all functionality minus the unlimited categorization. Integration with the Calendar app is great. The stand out functionality that I absolutely love is the amount of automation (and through that, customization) of the app. It’s particularly wonderful when you get it to sync through all your devices. I played around with scripting and with “shortcuts” and loved it! I also really loved the notes feature and that these notes can be as long as you want. I’d recommend the app just purely on this feature because it has been so helpful. That said, one of the parts I don’t like is that there is no task tracking or subtask tracking, which seems like a feature of the app (and design). Task and subtask are supplanted by categories and intentions; the categories and intentions seem like a good alternative and really helped me when I procrastinate by planning to the last detail on certain tasks. I also never really got the hang of its scheduling functionality, but that’s user error rather than app dysfunction. All in all it’s a great app, and I’d definitely recommend it!

Clean, simple, lightweight - Best for Individuals

This is a wonderful app! The fourth time tracker that I have used and by far the best for individual use. I wish this App was talked about on all the Blogs! It is best for time tracking, seeing your focus time trends and comparing what you planned to accomplish vs. what you actually did in a day. The UX is very smooth and provides a lot more useful information than other apps. It is a joy to click around, see data and sync with my calendar. It feels lightweight and intuititive. And has enough options for me to run the app instead of the app running me (other apps force you into sessions without your prompt and feel clunky and difficult to navigate). The learning curve is small (unlike alternative time tracking apps). If you are looking to sync your time tracking with invoicing, I am not sure this app does that. I like that it does not do invoicing. The simplicity of this app keeps me focused on the craft of doing work.

Philip is the developer. Philip, you've done a wonderful job with this app! I am very proud of you and I don't even know you! Keep up the great work.

Definitely the most well-thought out Pomodoro App!

I am another one of those people that has app-related issues, I am constantly downloading and trying new apps that I don't need. I have tried pretty much every Pomodoro timer on the app store and found several good enough to purchase. This one beats them all in it's feature set and most importantly it's interface, it is pretty much perfect. It really is more of a day planner pomodoro app with it's tight calendar integration, and it is the "stickiest" timer I've ever used, meaning I actually find myself using it after a couple of weeks, it is just that pleasant to use. I will say that I have not yet spent the money to take it pro, as I feel like $40 a year really a bit too much for any timer; that is more than I pay for apps like Craft or TickTick, apps that do a lot more and cost a lot less. If it were $20 a year, I would have signed up instantly. The free version is perfectly usable, however, and if I am still using it 6 months from now I might end up paying for the pro version.
