Seems a little restrictive in free mode.

This app seems really cool. It has all the necessary tools, but it limits your logging ability to three books total, unless you unlock premium content.

Thanks for the kind words and a feature request! Adding reading sessions with a past date is now available in Shelfy's version 1.7.1 and should be released shortly by Apple. You can find it in the "Reading sessions" screen. Let us know if this works as you've expected!

I downloaded this app because I like the cute virtual bookshelf where it looks like your books are on an actual shelf but I can’t figure out how to do that. I can only do a list. It has some cool features tho but I just wanted a cute customizable virtual library like I saw in the adds.

I thought this would be a great app for my TBR list. I went through the whole process of personalizing my Shelfy only to be asked what plan I would like to pay for after a 3 day free trial. It would be a lot better to know upfront this app will cost a minimum of $4.99 a month. I can store photos of books in my camera roll for free, thanks. I then deleted this app.

Hi Nicole, thanks for the feedback. You're right that pricing should be clear earlier in the flow - that's fair criticism and something I'm working on improving. Shelfy does offer a free version with core features like scanning and saving books. The paid plans unlock extras like reading stats, custom shelves, and more. I'll make sure the free vs paid split is more obvious before you start personalizing. If you'd like to give it another try, the free tier might already cover what you need for your TBR list.
