Shine - Bible Alarm 4+

Amazing idea/execution! Beautiful design

Thank you for making this! I was searching for a Bible Alarm clock and found this app!

I’ve developed apps before so I understand why you can’t just allow the user to select any verse (that would take a ridiculous amount of work/money); however, I would be very grateful if you could include Proverbs 26:13, 14, and 15! Those would be very helpful.

I will purchase all the packs this weekend one I get paid and I will be sharing this app!

I will be looking to add Proverbs 26 : 13-15 in an upcoming release. I'm curious - would you like those as separate verses, or wake up with all of them at once? Also, would you not like 26 : 16 as well? We can discuss this via email at info@shinealarm.com.

Love it.. but one major downfall

I love this app! My mom heard it one day and asked me what app it was and she instantly downloaded it and bought the packs! Then she gave me money and forced me to buy them also haha! However I think it’s frustrating that you have to unlock your phone and open the app to snooze it. Sometimes I’m soo sleepy and I don’t wanna open it and snooze it because I’m so drowsy. Also, I wish it would work when I have my phone on vibrate like the iPhone alarm does. Sometimes I’ll forget to put it and it doesn’t ring and I’ve been late. Otherwise I love this app!! It doesn’t scare me like other apps do and I feel calm and awake.

Thanks for the feedback! we're glad you like the alarm. It's possible to snooze the alarm without unlocking your phone: just long-press on the notification and tap snooze. Unfortunately, it's not possible for us to show a snooze button right away - only Apple can do that, they didn't allow third party developers that option! Regarding the vibration mode, that's a known issue that we're working hard to fix, and we'll release a fix in the near future! Update: We've just released version 2.0, which should fix any issues you've had with the alarm not ringing. This version also adds a choice of Bible translations (NIV or KJV), a volume setting, support for Dark Mode and more! I hope you enjoy Shine!

Good idea, needs some improvements.

God’s word is a great way to start every morning. Improvements needed: #1: volume adjustment as alarm is sounding. The preset volume is very loud or very quiet. #2 this apps battery usage of %50 in the background during sleep. 1 minute screen time in the last 24hrs is absurd. That’s on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Huge battery!!

#3 needs more entirety of scripture. So many people are missing out on the big picture in todays social media one liner verses which can be misunderstood or misused without context.
