The ShipCSX mobile application provides customers anywhere/anytime access to updates on the status of their rail shipments from an iPhone. Customers can retrieve up-to-date information about their shipments using Railcar Trace, Train Trace, and Equipment Specifications (UMLER), or send information to CSX using Shipping Instructions, View Inventory, and Plant Switch.
ShipCSX Mobile is designed with our supply-chain and logistics conscious business customers in mind. For security reasons, only authenticated CSX customers can access shipment information through the application.

Needs to be updated to work better with current devices
This app appears to be stuck in 2008. The layout & information flow is less than acceptable. Most all new mobile devices offer some version of Face ID or Touch ID & this app still doesn’t have either. It continuously logs you out even on site at a rail terminal in the middle of mission activities. I’m sure it can’t be that expensive for a multi billion dollar corporation to hire an IT team to update this app. Get with the program CSX!
The app hasn’t been updated.
The app has the same problems as years ago. Takes too long to load. You move an inch and it takes minutes to function again. The phone goes to sleep mode, you have to type in your password again; every time. This is time consuming. Last minute load change? The app doesn’t allow you to go back. No spots in designated row? Too bad, you can drop it in another row but in the app it’s still where it isn’t.
One of the worst rail apps. The inventory on the yard is not updated and if you have work on the app that you couldn’t complete for what ever reason it doesn’t clear this work. Even though you went through the gate several times without the app. Sometimes you would scan the barcode and you still have to go to the booth which the person at the booth has the worst customer service skills. They argumentative behavior makes your visit in pleasant
