Make learning new languages fun for the whole family. Help your child learn to speak, read and write in up to seven languages through games and playful characters in Shoonya Kids!
Give your child a head start at learning a second language. The best age to start learning a second language is before the age of ten, so Shoonya Kids helps you start early and develop a love of new languages and cultures.
Shoonya Kids is created by Montessori parents to promote global citizens and have a new approach to learning languages. Inspired by the world language readiness standard, we create interactive activities to teach the first 350-500 words of a language, such as alphabets, animals, dress-up, and more.
Animated characters and games help teach your child about alphabets, pronunciation, animal names, and new cultures all in a unique way.
Fun puzzles bring characters to life and help children develop fine motor skills. Children can even dress their characters in outfits from different cultures to learn about their traditions and styles while learning new vocabulary.
Start teaching English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Telugu, Marathi, and more with lessons designed for growing minds. Fun animations, letter tracing practice, and puzzles turn learning languages into fun games for kids to enjoy!

Fun for all ages
I have two kids - 9 and 10 yr old. As they are growing up in the US, they get little exposure to Hindi. They can understand Hindi but do not speak it well. I have been trying to teach them how to read and write with the hope to make it easier for them to speak :) This is the first app they have liked and actually want to play. I thought the cute characters would be more appealing to younger kids but they love them!! I think it is because they can identify with the subtle hidden ‘Indian’ gems - cricket, tika, indian shoes - and want to learn more. Highly recommended to anyone looking to teach hindi alphabet to their kids in a fun way while also gathering facts about Indian culture and items.
Toddler loves it!
We live in the tri-state area in the USA My two year old daughter has started proactively asking for Shoonya kids app on my phone. I have the one to learn Hindi alphabets. I am finding it quite impressive actually watching her interest and also her picking up Hindi alphabets and words because the characters are so fun and appealing. She wants to trace the letters with her finger even though I don’t think she really understands the alphabet quite just yet. But that’s the whole point to start them with fun activities that get them to learn the language and culture subtlety as well. Well done!!
Nicely done with attention to detail
I am 48 and learning to write read and speak Hindi as a second language. There are many apps that have been thrown together very hastily. This one is an exception. It is well thought out, engaging and challenging in a gentle way.
I have learned a lot from just this one small free app. It was put together with a bit of love (for both India (bharat) and the youth who learn Hindi), that is plain to see after playing for just a little while.
I have especially enjoyed being able to read and translate the example sentences as my Hindi comprehension gets better. There is a little humor to be found there!!
The voice-over Work and sound effects are done with attention to detail and work well with the animation.
This is a good high quality educational app to expose your children to. I haven’t found better yet.
I wish there was a number section.
