Still gets 1 star since I cant give it 0 stars. APP & Developer STILL require you to create an account with the latest update. And is it just me or is the Developer CLEARLY PADDING their reviews?! They have 30+ 5-star ratings on the new version after it was JUST released a few hours ago. Please tell me someone else finds this ODD and honestly completely UNETHICAL. Great product BEFORE requiring the login. Remove this mandatory login and you will have your loyal user back. Remove the login and you can keep tracking the miscellaneous crap that I look up. I think people would have been ok if you had asked for location data instead of creating an account. No one wants to give out that much detail on their life, especially when it comes to Facebook. Why would would you be interested in knowing who my friends are? Im pretty sure my friends don't know the developer of the app. Tracking my usage, don't track my friends or personal info under the guise of making the product better and removing a mostly nonexistent spam problem. -- Thanks for letting me vent.
Before Christmas I could search for an item and it gave me the cheapest first now that is no longer an option and to find say office chairs I have to search furniture and weed through a bunch of other items I don't want. What a waste of time! You made this ap great for businesses who are trying to sell more expensive products and totally anti customer service friendly. Please fix it or I am going to delete the ap and conduct my own search on the Internet only going to those stores around me. Honestly you had a good thing going and got greedy. It was nice looking at the other items if I couldn't find what I was looking for or wanted a better product in my free time but now I don't even bother looking there first because it isn't working for me the rest of the time when I don't have days to search for something. And the reviews on products are not working right either for the same reason I suspect. Retailers realize they are getting stuck with bad product because people are sharing their opinion. To which all I have to say is don't inventory bad product if that is the case. Don't block reviews. Your killing your ap.
This app has helped me by saving money on every day items and weekly/monthly items that I abut regularly. I was spending monthly about 100$ on cat litter until they showed me a price comparison for a website instead of in store and it came with a ton of perks! Thank you for your hard work & consistency with keeping up to date sale price and the distance all offers in store are from my location at any given time! Just a suggestion to get some more traffic and downloads as I am always sharing your App with friends with the same interests and “ShopSavvy” money saving needs like me! You should come up with a referral system that would be fitting for those of us who are always looking for the best prices and can share feedback on the validity as well as experience within our reviews with certain items and retailers!
Thank you so much for this review! I shared it with the team and it made their day. This is exactly why we built this app. As for community features- they are on the roadmap and hopefully coming soon!
We all love the word free! And we instantly choose it, if we're displeased..so what..it was free right? But if their not making $ off the app then how r they making $?? My collecting your personal information; email, phone #,web history, and I really hope you didn't purchase anything. They sell this info to make money and make their business go. And go ahead and try to officially take back all of YOUR info from them lol because by using this app you r agreeing to them having the power to retain your info forever and make as much off you as they can. And it's really sad but this is how many companies get rich. Aren't u tired of being a consumer and referenced to as basically cattle? All behind a blind eye. Read the Agreement and the Privacy Policy..if you an find it. We need to come together as people and take back what is ours. Another sad thing, majority of u won't. Because you dnt feel effected directly and work is busy. Well I know what I stand for and what companies like this and many many others do with our personal data, and the funny thing is...we pay them!! draw the line.
I tried to input scans at a couple local stores yesterday and first, there is no "store look up" so you have to type the names of stores. Of course it doesn't ask for an address and it doesn't look that up, either. There are probably 30 of the same (grocery) stores in this city and likely they have different prices. on top of that, every single time I scanned something new, I had to type in the name of the store, it never filled in automatically. How many times do you think I'm going to do that standing in a grocery store? It also did not save product photos that I took and we I rescanned items today took check, the prices and stores I added were gone! Finally, half the items I tried to scan today, standing in my well-lit kitchen would not scan! The image was totally clear, not moving, lots of light and the "auto" scan would not initiate. So, doesn't auto-scan reliably, doesn't save new stores and their locations and doesn't save the prices or photos that you've worked to scan. FYI, using a brand new iPhone 4s, maybe compatibility issues?
I imagine this would be absolutely super if you live somewhere where completing stores are close to one another and if it were also an area with lots of savvy shopper folk contributing to the price lists. But where I live, there aren't enough prices to compare, and when I do drive 7 miles to buy the product $2 cheaper, it often turns out that the price I drove all that way for is not only not the price listed, it is more than the price at the first store. I assume the prices fluctuate so either this app needs to add a date a given price was entered, or it needs some other way to tell consumers whether the stated price is still good. It has saved me from buying lots of things, and has helped me get a better idea of what is cheapest where. With more contributing the number of errors or changed prices would be reduced.
